PS. Does anyone know how long Egg Money Manager will be available?
For as long as you have an Egg account of any type.
Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

  • Just logged in for the first time. After reading the reports was slightly concerned, so decided to leave it for a while.

It looks ok to me. My biggest concern was that direct debits in some cases seem to have moved forward. Mine was fine.

Am I the only one whose cashback is still wrong today?
Having added this up, I'm not convinced my cashback is correct either.

My sums yield a Cashback value of £38.46, but only £32.78 is showing on the statement.

    Hello all,

We are currently working through a number of queries related to the Egg transition and our teams are working hard to resolve these as quickly as possible.

Due to regulation and customer security, we can’t address the individual queries and concerns contained in this thread, but would ask that you continue to use our existing customer support channels and also the FAQs on our site.

    Thanks,
    Barclaycard Company Representative

just about to post my letter to Anne Robinson and watchdog you have had months to get this right but failed to deliver any decent service
  • Just noticed something very odd.

When you sign in it shows Current Balance and Available Credit along the top, right? Fine.

But when I click on Recent Transactions under the summary table it shows my Current Balance as being totally different, in fact £600 worse off!! (and wrong)

This is despite the fact the value at the top stays at the correct amount.

    !!!!!!?

I received a phone reply to my query this afternoon. They apologised for the interest error, confirmed it will be refunded, and offered me a months interest free credit.

Perhaps you can explain to me why it seems impossible to transfer the positive balance on my EM card to my bank A/C.
I asked for my EM card to be closed in plenty of time prior to the migration, but Egg told me the closure would take place on the migration day.
On Monday 7th. my positive balance was still in my A/C although both the EM and Barclaycards were closed (as per my request).
I have had promises from your own CS who have tried to pay my money back without success it seems.
Another call to your CS yesterday promised an instant bank transfer to my bank A/C by 6pm. last night. This morning it still isn't in my ban A/C.
How hard is it to transfer money from one bank to another. I know the first part of the problem you inherited but my calls to your own CS have hardly been successful either. Can you help please.

I closed my Egg account after they tried to up the interest rate and am currently paying off the balance.

When it was an Egg card I still had full online access and could check my balance, my interest, my payment dates, make extra payments etc etc.

Now that it has been transferred to Barclaycard I have been told I will not have online access to the account and can pay my monthly bill by either making a cash payment at any Barclays bank (how Draconian lol) or if I am a Barclays customer I can use their online banking - those are my choices.

Surely the Terms of the sale would have included something along the lines of 'a like for like service'. After all the Egg account was an internet based account, now they want me to walk into a bank and pay cash over the counter, next you'll be telling me they are bringing back slavery!

I'm sorry Barclaycard but I want my online access back!!

After some carefully chosen words to Barclaycard, they have added my closed Egg card to my existing Barclaycard account and I can now see the full details.

Bizarre that they couldn't do that in the first place, I made a formal complaint by email citing a like for like service and the next day I got a phone call, confirmed my security details and hey presto my Egg account was online!!

All is well in the world again :D

I also registered my new Egg -> Barclaycard card today and have also got a mysterious £1 pending transaction, despite not having used my Egg Card for five months before the changeover. So far I've only registered the new card with Barclaycard Secure (Verified By Visa) and not at PayPal where I've had a £1 transaction put on a new card in the past.

The last transaction on my Egg Card was an Egg Minimum Finance charge of £0.50 at the beginning of August and I'm concerned this could be a hangover from that... :(

UPDATE: Have just used my new Barclaycard a couple of times and the unknown £1 pending transaction has now disappeared. Still have no idea what it was...
