Egg to Barclaycard Transition Update

Have received my first statement...
With Barclaycard, does anyone know if direct payments made before the payment date reduce the direct debit amount as was the case with Egg? Or will the full amount be taken on the payment date regardless?0 -

A refund that was put onto my Egg card is not showing on my Barclaycard statement, even now, after they have supposedly sorted out all the problems. All the purchases are there, but not the refunds from retailers where I have taken an item back.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anyone that returned an item to a store in the few days running up to the transfer?
Thanks. SC.
Sillychuckie, I was just charged a month's interest despite my account being paid in full. Was advised today by customer services that it's because I received a refund from a retailer in late September. Whereas Egg credited refunds straight away, it is Barclaycard "policy" to only refund credits in the following statement - ie. at least a month after the credit. This meant they considered my statement hadn't in fact been paid in full - so charged a month's interest. Good luck with your credit.0 -
Casback is now showing correctly. Whether that was as a result of the secure message sent to them about it or whether it was in the process of being fixed anyway, who knows? Happy it's sorted now.Herman - MP for all!0

Pay at pump failed for me in the first week, but I successfully used it last night at the same Shell garage that I tried it at the first time round.
Perhaps there was just a gremlin in the system.

Or more likely the pay at pump system hasn't been updated with the new batch of card numbers yet so it didn't recognise it.0

its been cancelled now and new number & card on the way.
i have both goldfish (really liked the reward points, damn you barclaycard) and an egg card but have now ordered an amazon card now to decide which barclaycard to kill.0 -
Hi,
I receive my first statement from Barclaycard. I always paid the full amount to EGG, by Direct debit (which was transferred to Barclaycard). However, I had interest charged on this statement! When I called Barclay, they said that's the information they received from EGG! But he didn't seem surprised at all that there might have been an error and said it will be reimbursed next statement.0 -

Fantastic news thanks.

My card got declined at a petrol pump this morning (twice). PIN was ok, but said card declined.
It was a bit of a pain as I ride a motorbike and carry very little in my pockets so didn't have a spare card. It wiped me out in cash.
The card is find on paypal and shops.
I rang Barclaycard and they said there is no issue.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Of course I'll be carrying 2 cards in future as I don't now trust this, but I automatically minimise my possessions when on a bike.0 -
I had interest payments added to my egg/barclaycard account - on challenging them I have got them to pay the value of interest as compensation as well as refunding the interest. I am not happy in dealing with an Indian call centre though - had just reorganised all my dealings to get away from them, grrr
Below is the email reply I got from barclaycard about the erroneous interest (never missed a payment in my life and always pay in full) ... my wife's email reply for the same issue is hilarious as it gives her tips on how to run her account! Who do they think they are ....
