  • As a barclaycard original customer im disgusted that since the move over with egg customers i havent been able to log in for a week now. How long does it take an IT boff to sort this out.

    Unlike some other posters I have had no issues logging on at all.

    OH has been in Sydney and used the Barclaycard without a problem.

    He also used his Egg card and caught a "naughty boy" text and email.

  • My statement was produced yesterday, and when I logged in to check it I still have several things wrong.

    Firstly, I still can't see recent transactions, although strangely they have been able to produce my bill...

    Secondly, my bill has an interest charge on it, for a missed payment. I have never missed a payment. When phoning up to confirm what had happened the guy on the other end of the phone didn't have records dating back before the 11th October, but after a while decided that the interest charge dated from before then. Infuriating. Eventually he said it would be refunded next month.

    Thirdly, they have managed (a word i use laughably) to not transfer over my direct debit arrangements i had with Egg. Speaking to another person about this, they advised me to phone back tomorrow.

    I also have an ongoing issue with another transaction that is in dispute.. which I can't criticise....yet.

    Hopefully this farcical excuse for management of my account won't hit my credit score.

    Shock horror, I managed to login into my account this morning for the first time!

    Still not all there as only Mastercard showing and not Visa card, so not sure what happened to that one... Have sent them a secure message.

    Recent history and last statement from Egg seems to be present and correct.

    I have been discussing with the Exec office on Tuesday, but received no communication from them yesterday.

    Yes, my OH did yesterday, used it at a Texaco garage, went through fine.

    I fully expect the charge to go through, he just hasn't got around to swapping over to his Barclaycard yet. :D

    Oh the cashback note which I said previously. I havn't had a reply yet, but had two welcome emails telling me what to do. All of which I've already done.

    Not at all... where's your Wordpress? I love reading about other people having the same rant as me! :rotfl:

    Luckily I will be nipping home this weekend, so I'll at least have the new credit card when I arrive in the US on Sunday.

    DD due today and NOT taken! Beware!!

    Barclaycard have set up the DD instruction with my bank. Payment is due today and has not been taken. Checked my Barclaycard account online and it quite clearly shows the DD set up with due date 10 Nov.

    When I called, the girl told me that DD was only set up on 5 Nov and it can take up to 12 working days to activate, so it wouldn't take the payment today! Apparently, I should have been informed of this (first I have heard). I asked her when the next DD collection will be taken and she said December. What a joke!!! She apologised for " any inconvenience this might cause for late payment charges and bad credit markers" but could offer no solution.

    I have made a manual payment by debit card which she assures me will be credited to my account today. Not convinced though. I am absolutely furious, especially as I contacted Egg last week to check whether I should make a manual payment. They told me there was no need as my DD would be collected as usual.

    If for any reason you're unable to use your card, for example if the condition of your account has changed, please don't hesitate to contact us.

    What like a bodged software implementation for example?
