Egg to Barclaycard Transition Update

I'm sure my cashback was there yesterday, but today it only shows this month (yesterday being the statement day), say £8.50 worth and the anniversary amount is £8.50 :eek:
Yet if I look on October Statement the cashback amount is about £67.00
Perhaps my blip is to do with the statement being issued at this time.
I've send a secure message anyway.
Me too, have secure messaged them. It's obviously a teething problem, but why should we have to go through all of this? Nothing on the website as way of apology or reason or when things will be sorted out.
Shameful Barclaycard.0 -
I've just rung Barclaycard (free phone 08000282360, option 2) and was told that the card should be working, and that I should try another cash machine for a different bank (not Cooperative). They've linked up my two online accounts, which should take effect within 24 hours. Although the website says I've missed payment, they do indeed have my payment recorded. The website also shows my regular payment due date is 30th of the month, but apparently this can be any time between the 5th and 14th month. He said website issues are targeted to be fixed in the next three days...0

I don't know if different card holders have different rates for their cards but in the change from Egg to Barclaycard/Egg my interest rates have jumped up :mad:
If I check my previous Egg statements online in the mybarclaycard account they all show;
Annual purchase rate 20%
Cash interest rate 23.29%
But if I click on Recent Transactions it says;
Annual purchase rate 21.9%
Cash interest rate 25.9%
Where in all their promises that nothing will change did it say this would happen?0 -
My recent transactions are now showing 1st November direct debit now showing but on recent transactions but on the main page it's saying I did not make the payment!
Sent a message online but 48 hours and still no reply.
Barclaycard you are a joke!0 -
Launched my new account. Everything Ok. Comnfirms my last payment, 25-Oct and next payment 25-Nov. It confirms current balance is £27 (correct), although states that they will take the full amount on 25-Nov which is listed as £0, though balance is £27.Mortgage free

ARG! Some customer experience designers need to be shot...
I haven't got my new Barclaycard physically with me yet, because I work away from home *a lot* and don't get the chance to pick up my post.
I received an email today along the lines of "We noticed that you used your Egg card, naughty naughty, we won't allow that in future... however if you don't yet have your Barclaycard please spend a week's wages phoning us".
After trying to look up their opening hours I said "sod it" and picked up the phone. A nice automated gentleman asked me to enter my 16-digit number (on a card I don't have). Since I did nothing, the gentleman suggested that I could find my 16-digit number across the front of my card (which I don't have) or at the top of my statement (which I've never had), or invited me to press 1 if I'm new to their automated service.
I pressed 1 and the chap informed me that I can do all sorts of exciting things with their automated service if I could please enter my 16-digit number. When I did nothing he explained where the 16-digit number could be found and asked again for it to be entered.
Finally he said that I would be put through to a representative. After a few moments he explained that they're currently quite busy but that I could request a call back by pressing 1 now.
I pressed 1. I was instantly cut off.

I have rung this evening and they said you 'may' be able to login after the 15th!
I've also had a problem over my direct debit date. With Egg it went on the 18th, 3 days after pay day. Barclaycard emailed me and told me it would be taken on the 2nd.
I asked for it to be changed to the 18th but was told I could not chose a date, I could only pick date ranges. Do I asked for a range after the 15th. The rep could not understand this and kept offering me ranges like '9 to 15th' or '13th to 20'. In the end it became laughable, I would say 'is the 13th not before the 15th?'
So the upshot was after speaking to 3 different people and a very frustrating call is I have paid back my debt to Barclaycard and closed my account.

Unless you already have a mybarclaycard account, in which case the new account should now be there too. Or not, as the case may be if they haven't been able to match names.
Wednesday, 9 November 2011 complaint to Barclaycard account paid in full and charged £4.55 interest why? Operator agreed full refund, insisted I pay overcharged balance and I objected !!!!!!s what an absolute shambles from Barclaycard0 -

I have set up my account and it says no offers are available on my account and it wont let me do a balance transfer or anything like that - i phoned up customer services to be told that there are no offers available to me and they will notify me periodicaly of any offers
Is it just me, am I wrong to have expected some kind of 'new customer' offer?
They have till the end of the year to come across with a good offerI have a deep burning indifference0
