Egg to Barclaycard Transition Update

Its most annoying that I have to make up a username with numbers in it. Do they really expect me to remember yet another username......so it gets written down and is far more insecure than allowing me to use a username of my choice.

And then they want a 6 digit passcode. Who else in the world asks for a six digit passcode !!!!!!. And again it gets written down and again it becomes even more insecure.

Why cant they let me choose a username of my choice and a password of my choice....without messing around with passcodes. And the password of my choice would be unique, have a mix of letters and numbers, and be at least 8 digits long as all my other passwords are.

Today, the transactions in the latest statement are now present. Also my casbback has returned. It seems to be that barclaycard are showing cashback this month and a total, but unlike egg the total doesn't include this months cashback. Hope this is the correct interpretation, and not that when restoring my cashback they didn't set it correctly.

My outstanding balance is £0.50p, due to be taken by DD on the 16th, hopefully they won't muck that up.

I find myself in a strange position ! Just had an email saying my payment is due on the 16th. I always pay the full amount by DD. I don't trust them to take it thus having a negative impact on my credit. I only found out I'd suddenly become a Barclays customer (the last bank I would touch by choice) last week. I still can't access the web site or received a new card. I'm going to have to phone them and lead them by the hand and possibly beg them to take my money on time. Then phone on the 17th to check they have done it. When I do eventually get a card, it will soon turn into something I use to scrape the ice off my windscreen.

has anyone had any offers made available to them since transferring from Egg and registering online?

I have set up my account and it says no offers are available on my account and it wont let me do a balance transfer or anything like that - i phoned up customer services to be told that there are no offers available to me and they will notify me periodicaly of any offers

Is it just me, am I wrong to have expected some kind of 'new customer' offer?

I also registered my new Egg -> Barclaycard card today and have also got a mysterious £1 pending transaction, despite not having used my Egg Card for five months before the changeover. I'm sure my cashback was there yesterday, but today it only shows this month (yesterday being the statement day), say £8.50 worth and the anniversary amount is £8.50 :eek:
Yet if I look on October Statement the cashback amount is about £67.00

Perhaps my blip is to do with the statement being issued at this time.

I've send a secure message anyway.

When I try to change the PIN for my Barclaycard World card, the cash machine spits the card out with the message "card not recognised, contact issuer".

Same for me, but I presume they're busy trying to sort out the transition before sorting the wheat from the chaff, offer wise.
