Its all working for me now too. I bought my lunch on the card today and its showing as pending in recent transactions.

Also DD is setup to pay the full amount on the 21st (my payment day from Egg). This isn't showing in my bank yet but I expect it will just appear automatically on that day.

Think the cash back is due in March the month before I am looking for a new cash back card elsewhere even if it's not 1% I hate Barclaycard. There messing the entire egg customer book off in less than a week.

I must have had 6 texts of them today about nothing. Bringing my payment date forward a day before pay day is a real joke, well done Barclays that's another fine mess you got me into............

Well I just registered the BC world class again and when viewing my transactions their is a message displayed you have failed to make the min paymnent and advising about legal action etc. However from when my statement was last made up on the 14th October I have pay in 3 different credits and also the dd was activated for the min payment and was all shown on my Egg statement for the current period but with BC it only shows up until the 14.10. Has anyone else experienced problems with the details not being up to date.

Apparently you can ring up and get it sorted but I don't want to be on the phone for 18 hours to an Indian Call Centre trying to explain it.

I spoke to a very nice Barclaycard World Mastercard CS guy with excellent English, who was situated in the Philippines. Worth giving it a try, I feel.

My accounts have now become automagically linked, without me having to bother phoning. So I can now see both my old unloved Barclaycard and my new World MC using either my old login or my new login. Having a spare login might be useful sometime.

Only thing is, the old card is supposed to have been cancelled, but nothing seems to have happened in that direction. Perhaps just as well. When I phoned to cancel it, the robot system asked for my card number and date of birth, and the human asked me my name. Nothing secret at all. If that's security, I'm not impressed. (Though I must admit I've no idea what Egg did because I never phoned.)

Tried a payment by debit card and a payment by FP, and although they didn't appear straight away, they were both credited to the account with the same date that I originated them.

  • Yes. Several people have mentioned this.

Tried three desktop pc and now three consecutive days had System Error.

Telephoned Barclaycard yesterday, the service was very poor, evasive answers to my questions from operator and I insisted speaking to a supervisor.

A manager admitted there was a website contingency and said it is expected fixed tomorrow.

Guess what contingency System Error continues and is not Barclaycards finest takeover hours!

Agree with others - my recent transactions are now appearing as is the full balance DD payment that left on the 7th, the day of switch over. I also made a faster payment of £20 from Halifax and it was credited on the same day as the DD, so handy to know that is available if ever needed.

Bit gutted that I didn't keep a copy of Egg statements since I had the account, can only get 12 months statements from BC but that's good I suppose.

Also, BC DD now set up on my bank account, so looks like I can cancel the Egg one, but will just wait another month to make sure the new one takes instead of the BC one.

I have not used the card yet, but have changed the PIN, don't think there are many contactless pay points in Northern Ireland, but would love to try that function out!

Not sure why people are moaning about this - Egg only displayed the last twelve months statements on their website as well.

Yes, what I am saying is that I wish I had collected my statements as time went on. I am aware that Egg only kept a rolling period of statements.
