I have now changed the PIN and used the card successfully at ASDA.

It's already showing up as a pending transaction:T

Does it show any transaction description for you or just the total amount pending (this could be one transaction or more)?

I am waiting for the Paypal item to appear so I can confirm my new card!

    Thanks

Registered OK, Balance OK yesterday but now seems to be £36 out from a transaction made yesterday and cant access ‘recent’. (Don’t think it is suspicious, just not summarised correctly)
Cashback was wrong yesterday but correct now.
Also managed to add the Barclaycard account to my Egg money Manager aggregator, so looks like no change to me.

Slightly OT, but if I get a second card for my wife, will she get 1% cashback on her transactions?

I finally got a reply to my online message.

I'm told that (contrary to what we were originally told) I will after all have to create a new login by clicking the 'Launch your new account' button, then reply to their email with my account number, whereupon (presumably after another day or two) they will link the new account with my old one in some, as yet unspecified, way. Hopefully on my old login.

Sounds as though it's all gone pearshaped behind the scenes.

I activated my Mastercard as this is the card I mostly use and the Visa card was not present.

I phoned up and gave my Visa card and Mastercard numbers and they filled in a form to link the accounts within 2-3 days.

They did not say I had to create duplicate accounts first? No I do not know what to do.

I've just signed up sucessfully - but got logged out when I tried to view recent transations.

One thing I hadn't expected is that I can't see any statements from before October. I didn't think to print them out - are they gone forever or is there something I missed? I don't remember any warnings that we had to print them out if we wanted to keep records.

Seems like I may be lucky in that this is all working OK for me (....so far)....I was able to view and print old Egg statements on myBC last night going back at least a year

It's still your account (and you are liable).
So given that it's just another card on your acccount as opposed to a second account then I would guess you would get cashback.

Haven't you been getting loads of stuff from BC about what to do? It's a completely different system that you need to set up the first time you go there. Unless you already have a mybarclaycard account, in which case the new account should now be there too. Or not, as the case may be if they haven't been able to match names.

Hubby today recieved 2 letters from Barclaycard to say his egg cards were transferred, only problem is these 2 cards where park of an IVA which was paid off in 2009 and marked on credit files as Satisfied. They should have been closed.

Other problem is he now has a Barclaycard ( he never had a card with them until a few months ago ) Will this effect his current card?

Waiting for him to come in to ring them but wondered if anyone else who had " paid " debts have recieved these letters. I really hope Barclaycard do not mark these on CRF as he files is completley clear as all defaults dropped off as 6.5 years now since IVA started and default dates.
