Egg to Barclaycard Transition Update

OH is in Australia this week and managed to use his Egg card at 5pm monday (UK time).

The barclaycard works in chip and pin machines out there, but keeps getting declined at chip & sign places.

My Egg Money card transfered over to my existing mybarclaycard account, but I've have slightly different issues than reported by others.

My latest statement was dated the 4th Nov, it wasnt available on egg website over the weekend. It is available on mybarclaycard, which has a correct looking total, but there are no transactions listed, just the total! Also my cashback has been reduced and is showing as zero for both latest month and total. I've send them a secure message, awaiting reponse.

My older egg statements are available though, and a transaction on egg card on saturday is showing on recent transactions.

managed to log onto mybarclaycard to find the first entry is an interest charge. very strange because I pay in full every month by direct debit. I rang barclaycard and they told me to ring back in a couple of days. I suspect my relationship with Barclaycard will be a short one....

Anyone else had any shock interest charges? not sure whether the fault is Egg's or barclaycard's.

Yes i have but, i'm away from home till friday and was just curious. Have only opened envelope and left it alone as i couldnt do anything till the 9th anyways.

I accidentally posted on an old thread about my problems.. But just so noone gets too optimistic about Barclaycard, I was told that they expected the problems with recent transactions to last for at least another week.

It is also showing on my account that they haven't received my recent payment, and when I rang up they told me actually they had received it.. on the 21st. This came as somewhat of a surprise to me, seeing as I didn't actually make the (manual) transaction until the 24th!

Things seem to have improved this evening with Egg transactions from last week (including payments) now showing up.

Got bored of waiting for the account to appear so registered a second time.

Account balance and recent payments showing correct. No issues with the DD.

Apparently it is supposed to show up in your existing account. It has not in mine. I already have two my barclaycard logins. One for my original Barclaycard, One for my former Morgan Stanley account and soon to be another one for my former Egg account.

Apparently you can ring up and get it sorted but I don't want to be on the phone for 18 hours to an Indian Call Centre trying to explain it.

Well I was *finally* able to register my card on Barclaycard secure tonight so theoretically online shopping should be ok too. Also my account now correctly shows the payment by DD received yesterday and I no longer have the "you've failed to make a payment" message. So it looks like they've sorted my stuff out - hurrah!

Not too worried about the wrong cashback amount being displayed as I know they are aware and have said that they are working on fixing that.

Edit: yep, online shopping working

All seems to working for me now, I can view recent transactions and the payment I made today via telephone banking as come off my account.
