Egg to Barclaycard Transition Update

Hmm, well egg card vanished from egg.com... go to barclay; log in with the details you have been sent...Er, I haven't been sent any?

Long chat with a nice Indian man who initially told me if I wanted to register I;d have to apply for a new card (mine's suspended after rejecting egg hike), I told him I needed to know what the balance was etc, so he told me! Not quite what I was after but eventually he relented and registered me for barclaycard.co.uk Didn't fancy ringing them each month to find out what my balance was

Do you think I need to check my credit records next month, just to make sure that their errors haven't led to a false non-payment marker being put on my credit file ?

To be honest I think it's an over the top reaction.
It's clear that their sytem is not totally up to date with very recent payments. As at IT person I'd guess they have migrated the system from Egg on 3rd or the 4th.
I would give them a few days and hopefully all will be sorted.
I'm not saying it's ideal and if this was the plan then they should have warned people.
I would guess that not everything has gone to plan and the recent updates have not yet been applied

Same here. I've logged in to my existing Barclaycard account and the Egg one is nowhere to be seen:(.

Probably have to do what I did - Register a new account and then get them to merge the account with the existing account.

There's no way I want two logins, goodness knows how long it might take them to 'merge' the two accounts, even if they could do so. Anyway it might mess up whatever they are supposed to be doing behind the scenes and make it even worse! I'll wait.

I telephoned Barclaycard as my new Barclaycard has not appeared on my Barclaycard online account. Was told that they have to put it on manually even though the website states it will already be on. Told this will take 24-48 hrs. So if you cannot see your account online I would contact them and ask for it to be added.

I had two logins for about 30 minutes - or however long it took to get through to them - they were quite busy.

I registered then gave their internet department a call and they merged them there and then - no hassle, and I now have access to both accounts.

Apparently they were unable to match the details between the two cards (for some reason), so didn't think I already held a Barclaycard.

I think I'll just wait a couple of days as I'm not going to use the card.

I am interested to see whether there are any balance transfer offers though.

It would appear that they have failed to take account of the scenario where people already have an online account.
I don't expect everything to be perfect on day 1 but that's a fairly major oversight.

I had a Egg Visa and Egg Mastercard.

I registered for mybarclaycard this morning using my new Mastercard details but my new Visa card is not listed in the account?

It says do not register more than once - does anyone how do I get my new Visa card in my account so I do not end up with multiple accounts?
