Egg to Barclaycard Transition Update

My Egg card disappeared, waiting for it to appear alongside my existing Barclaycard.
Am I right in thinking the min % will remain the same for payments?0 -
Thanks for the tip on opening an Egg savings account to keep access to the Money Manager.
In September I opened an Amazon credit card so thankfully had a zero balance on the Egg card. I really don't want a Barclaycard, and don't need it so phoned to cancel this morning. I got told I would have to call back tomorrow to speak to the Customer Loyalty department. I refused and said I wanted it cancelled today. After being put on hold he agreed, and checked with me if I would like to hear any offers that might persuade me to stay, which I declined.
It irritates me that they expected me to call again to listen to a load of guff and persuasion to stay when I had already asked for the account to be cancelled.0 -

I looked in the Barclaycard t&c and it seems to be 2% so yes the same.
pfpf, aren't you lucky to have received lots of bumf!So far I have received the same email twice and a letter yesterday. But then as I opted out of an Egg interest increase and closed my account and will make BC very little money, I don't think they'll view me as an important customer!

I have just bookmarked the mybarclaycard account in readiness for applying to get online access to my account on Monday.
However, I note that you need to supply the credit limit in order to register for access. But none of the paperwork (or emails) I have been sent from barclaycard tells me what my credit limit is! I know its probably the same as it was with Egg, but I don't know what the value was and now I can't see it online at egg.
Any ideas what I should do?0 -
I noticed that non of the information stated what the new credit limit was. I assumed therefore it would be the same as the old one under egg. That's just be guessing thougth0

Does anyone know if we can now receive paper statements (instead of the online paperless ones we were restricted to with Egg) ?
Thanks0 -
For me that is the end of using my Egg card. I absolutely dislike Barclays and they will loose my custom. Has anyone ever experienced a negative influence on you credit score when giving notice to to a credit card provider?0

My biggest issue is that I have remembered my card number so I dont need to bother getting it out when Im ordering stuff online or on the phone. Plus I have a great security code......I guess I can tell you all it as its only got a few hours life left in it, so if you can guess my account number, the money's yours......my security code is 777!!!illegitimi non carborundum0

If you don't register for online services, Barclaycard would have little option I would have thought.
The DD guarantee requires that you be advised in advance of the amount being debited, so without online services they would have to use snail mail.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I have enough problem remembering my PIN, no chance with a 16 digit account number.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
