I opted out of my Egg Money card about a year ago following an attempted rate jack. I have yet to receive any information on how I will access/service my account from the 7th.

Has anyone else in a similar position received anything?

I couldn't wait anymore so I called them this morning on the customer service number. Obviously will have to get used to call centres in India, but to be fair the man I spoke to was very polite and helpful, and certainly very patient as I had lots of "stupid" questions.

Anyway, the reassuring thing is that they have not and will not send a new card , the DD should be transferred over on 7-11 and extra payments can be made on the phone. He didn't seem to think I could have online access (shame) and there seem to be some grey areas because I phoned before the 7th. Have to phone back on Monday but I might leave it a couple of days as I guess it will be a busy day!

Does the accountunity tool actually work with Windows 7 and IE9?

I've tried to get it to work but failed. I concluded it isn't compatible.

Anyhow, I just opened an Egg Savings Account and put £1 in it instead.

    Yes it does.
Just tried it on my netbook running windows 7 and IE9.
Normally use it on desktop with Vista and IE9.

Accountunity supply the software to egg and FD so if egg money manager runs then the direct offering from accountunity should work too.

I opted out of my Egg Visa a few months ago - for the same reason as you. So far I have received 2 emails saying that from 7th November I would be able to use my Barclaycard. I didn't think I was going to get one. Still don't think I will. I have heard nothing since the end of September, and I'm concerned because I am used to making regular payments throughout the month as well as my normal DD.

Same here, opted out. Received nothing at all. Just one message back in May... I don't have a barclaycard since my account is suspended due to rejecting the hike..

They can stuff their 0844 number where the sun don't shine. 01604 230230 comes up as an alternative on saynoto0870.
  • I wonder where my DD will go because it's should be taken on 7th.

    .......

I don't believe that is so.
The first Barclaycard payment will be the one billed by Barclaycard.
Penelopa.Pitstop viewpost.gif s payment was billed by egg and as it is due on the 7th and was billed weeks earlier by egg and will go to egg as per the existing DD arrangement..

My Egg Money Card has disappeared from Egg Money Manager. So the transfer begins.

I wonder what will happen to the small positive balance I have on my card when it goes over! Do Barclaycard have the same clause for no positive balances?
