At no point did the OP ever say the guy was her boyfriend. In fact she has quite consistently stated the opposite. The reference in post 25 was in the face of repeated insinuations that this guy must be a partner or boyfriend - eventually she stated that even if he was a boyfriend it wouldn't change anything. That's different from referring to him as a boyfriend.

Don't know, but yesterday, after reading posts 44/45 here, I reported him/her for abuse of other posters, possible trolling, and possible benefit fraud.

poppy10 posters here did not pounce on the OP and are not jealous. The very first reply gave, straightforwardly, an answer that is almost certainly correct, the OP refused to accept it; another poster linked to a comprehensive answer, the OP ignored it.

That happens a lot on this forum. People don't like accepting answers they don't want to hear. You get used to that when you post replies on this forum, it's annoying but there's no reason to go from that to basically calling her a fraudster and a prostitute, a liar and a troll. I was pretty shocked reading some of the replies. I can't see anything the OP posted that deserved that, it smacks of a mean-spirited gang mentality.

Well, poppy, I suppose I read some of the reaction differently. The webcam comment came after the OP's

and I didn't see it as insulting in the context of the OP's posts. Posts 44, 45, that decided me to report the OP, came immediately after that and so, before the other replies you quote, except for emmzi's earlier comment(bold added)

oh yes, I've seen it happen, and I've seen some obviously distressed OPs get -- IMO -- unfairly treated. I don't think that's what happened here but do think it would have been better for people to stay out of the thread, I did though finally decide I should say something.

Ring DWP, HB, Fraud Hotline (They don't give advice btw, they just take details - big hole in story there) and they'd say (in the case of fraud hotline they wouldn't but...) the same thing - no effect on benefit.

However.....

If you then include the fact that you chat to him through the 'net by whatever means (MSN / facebook / Webcam) then it becomes a different thing.
Your activity is generating an income.

Therefore it's earnings.
