  • Morning.

I haven't been able to keep up with you all for the past few days because i've had a real social life. :rotfl: I caught up with a friend yesterday when she came round for lunch, and with family the day before.

I can add myself to the poor sleepers. Now Charlie is sleeping better, i have been having trouble sleeping. And then he woke up at 4:30 this morning. I was a mean mummy and tried to ignore him as he was mainly chattering persistently  , but when he woke DH up at 5 i thought i'd best get up. He's only just gone back to sleep. (How come it takes men ages to hear a baby cry??)

Plans for today - i fancy going sale shopping, but Charlie always howls at the local shopping centre. So i guess it will be another day of housework and internet. Best save my energy anyway as next week seems to be a busy one.

I vaguely caught a few things.

Queenie - i was really sorry to hear about your friend, and have thought about her over the past few days. I hope things aren't too difficult, IYKWIM.

kyle i think you are super for coping when your LO gets you up just about every night. I feel zombie like at times from just a few months of it.

Anyway, going to check out a few other threads. I think i can hear DH getting up, and then no doubt i will have things to do again. I'll see if i can con him into making me another cup of tea seems though i got up AGAIN! :D

Happy Friday all, sorry some are coming to the end of difficult weeks/nights.
Just had the first full night's sleep since last weekend, absolutely glorious not to be doing (and losing) battle with my alarm clock. It always seems to throw the rest of the morning out somehow, and then day to day stuff becomes an uphill struggle.
Thank goodness the wind has dropped, we might get some decent playtimes at school today but guess who's on yard duty?
I've had some marking back home all week and I still managed to hang on until the weekend. ( I'm trying to keep my weekends clear of schoolwork, as it then dominates my whole life.)
I'm still keeping up with the minimum expenditure, and haven't used up all my petrol, (may even last another week if I'm sensible this weekend) I was going to go Asda shopping late last night (good for bargains) but checked the fridge, freezers, and cupboards and decided to see if we could manage another week just on milk from the corner shop to keep costs down. I defrosted a mystery bag last night.... wonder what dinner will be tonight, its got carrots in, I can tell that.
Anyway, after a reasonable start, the washing machine is just ending so I'll see if I can sort that out.
DH had a sleeping tablet last night which seems to have affected my quality of sleep !!!! (excellent, might slip another into the mystery meal tonight for him).

Good morning all who are up and about and to those that follow and hugs to anyone who needs it.

Well the wind had dropped but its chucking it down. Just waiting for oh to come back from walking the dogs.

I'm going to do my weekly shop tonight and lots of cleaning at the weekend. It'll be nice to get a lie in tomorrow and sunday - I'm just not human at this time in the morning. Oh well the dogs are back so have a nice day all and catch you later maybe.

Back at work. Didn't get out of here till late yesterday as I was called into a meeting. Got another long day today as I'm giving a careers talk at my old school:eek: Really nervous about it.

Going out tonight, as my friend is very down and needs cheering up. Looking forward to having a whole weekend off!!:j Already got some overtime lined up for February so a bit more cash coming in

    Hope everyone's ok

    Good morning everyone,

Oh, am i glad its Friday!!!! DS wont have football on a Saturday for a few weeks, as the pitch is waterlogged, so 2 days where we wont have to rush around - bliss!!!
Have 2 little ones here today, and its one of their 4th birthdays (other little one is 4 tomorrow) so have a card and pressie here for him, and decided we would make and decorate little birthday cakes this morning, for them all to have when school finishes later. It will also be his choice as to what else we do, and watch (i will 'treat' them to a dvd later too). Hope it will be a lovely day for him, this is the sort of age where they remember birthdays, and seeing that his parents are working, i would like to make it a good one for him.
Have some housework to do, but will get that done when the dvd is on. Made the packed lunches last night, managed to do that 3 days this week, must try and do it everynight, as its so much easier than doing it in the morning!!!
Right, off for a browse before first little one gets here (keep having to remind her, that her birthday is not Friday, its Saturday)

    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • morning all, i haven't been on for a few days as i've had Viral Pharyngitis which is tonsillistis with flu symptoms but i feel much better now. Hugs to all that need them today and just to let you all know it's still a bit windy in stoke on trent :D Well today for me is start of spring cleaning weekend and i'm going to start on the kitchen and declutter all those dishes and tins that i don't use and give it a really good scrubbing. Then i'm off to the post office to send nationwide my first letter in reclaiming my bank charges. Not doing too much today as i still feel a bit wishywashy and i can't wait for tonight as i'm off to my mum's to watch soapstar superstar (I don't have a telly). Sending big hugs to all those that need them and small hugs to those that don't.

well its pouring here and I have a funeral to go to. hope it clears up later.

apart from some studying before I go will be doing nothing else today ;)

Kyle - our kids loved the space centre more than disney :)
we had tickets for a launch (they cost a bit extra but you get bused to the launch site to see it close up) unfortunately our launch got cancelled with a hour to go because of a fuel leak. the ticket covers you for the launch not the date if you know what I mean. So we could have gone back but we didnt want to risk using another day out of our holiday if the same happened.
watch the news reports on tv. they will keep you up to date with the launch and you can see them go up from anywhere. we saw ours go up from epcot!
we just booked our villa for florida on wednesday..we go July (our 3rd time) cant wait....although we said last time was the last time :)
