Has anyone noticed how OS is spreading around the boards? Things that originate in OS are now taking on lives of their own. The Green board started from here, now we are having a gardening board which also started from here. It's lovely to see it but I did have a chuckle to myself wondering if Martin ever thought we would take so many steps back into the pastOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Good morning!
Am sat in my jim jams at the moment before I get cracking on the house!
Had to leap out of bed and take DS1 to catch his bus(he was late up as usual!) still in my pjs and without brushing my hair:eek: so I hope I wasn't spotted as I looked a right sight!:D
Had a call from DS2's english teacher yesterday to say he is struggling with his organisation, late handing in work and easily distracted! I think they forget he is on the autistic spectrum because usually he copes so well! he had a statement of special educational needs untill a few years ago and had extra help but now he gets nothing! I'll have to keep a closer eye on his homework I think.
Hugs to those feeling low and also to the tired ones who didn't sleep! better luck tonight!
Am off to have a quick blitz now before I do ironing and decorating!(all on my so-called"day off" )
Take care xxxDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Morning all! Late morning as DH off w***. Better get a move on or I'll be on page 3
Got a fancy lidded pan from MIL for Christmas - don't really need it, as we have plenty of LeCreuset pans. However, put a whole organic chicken in it and *slow cooked* it in the Rayburn. Delicious and moist, with roasties, Yorkies, veg. Also lemon drizzle cake for DS and Queenie's choc fridge biscuits for DD's lunch box (with butter since trans fats were banned from the house) which were yummy. Will be making stock for leek and potato soup from the carcase.
Off looking at cars today - a job I hate. Feel so sorry for people who sell cars for a living, as they have to deal with me in a grumpy mood
Will check in later, if I'm not in too bad a mood.
BTW,to all those people who say they're suffering from wind!

Dull, grey, nasty hoorible morning, so I feel dull grey horrible and nasty, never mind off out with a friend, not sure where we will end up, its a mystery trip, she chooses I drive!!!
Nothing OS happening here today really, fish with salad and jackets for supper......
Did anyone else watch Fiona Bruce's programme alst night???? enlightening wasn't it...... I tried to get onto the web page, but the link they gave on TV didn't seem to work.......
Going for a:coffee:then a shower.
Have a good day!!!!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Pen pen - you made it to page 2!!!!! I was also chuckling re the peeps with wind!!!!
Has anyone seen Penny Pincher? Know she had a hospital appt yesterday, so hope she is ok!!!
Crazychik - glad you managed to get a nurses appt, im very lucky with our doctors, tend to get appts really quickly, so its a shock when you see other people having such problems. You would think the 'practice managers' could get some tips from better run surgeries to help their patients really!!!!
Mushypeas - good luck re the flat!!!
Right, we've had our breakfast, now we are off to bake cakes!!!!!0 -
Good morning everyone,
commiserations to the poor sleepers and hope all who are porrly get better soon.
Like so many, it's blowing a gale here and very very wet - my dog (beautiful Hungarian Vizsla (?sp) who's also my Hearing Dog) would rather lie with all 4 legs crossed than go out in such pelting rain!
Yesterday I had to take my car for its service and MOT - a long walk back to town and a few hours in town to dry off before it was ready - thanks to some OS savings over the last few weeks, I had £30 to spare and got approx £80 worth of gifts for family and friends for this year's birthdays/Christmas.
And I hereby claim a miracle - recently noticed how threadbare my jimjams had become and lamented the fact Santa hadn't dropped a nice new pair down the chimney. Lo and behold in M & S yesterday, a brilliant brushed cotton pair reduced to £5! :j Just what I would have chosen for myself - they were the only pair left. So a nice cosy sleep last night, made all the more enjoyable by the MSE savings!!
Today a prospective lodger is coming to see the house - as I have been advertising for several weeks before Christmas without result, and this woman sounds really nice on the phone, I'm keeping everything crossed.
Hope everyone's day goes as well as possible.
Bye for now
