OS Friday 12th JANUARY

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 12th January 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Well if I am first then brill. If not then can someone sort me out.
Have not posted for a couple of days coz a feel very flat and down. Arguing with DH and feeling put on. Now I can't sleep.
Have therapy today for the first time this year. Group of us all sitting around working on ourselves and trying to find ways of coping with life!!!
Not much OS on a friday in the jellycat household but I did get excited today when I managed to order an onya bag and book my sun holiday in Cornwall for May.
Hugs to all
Louise

Hi everyone. :hello:
jellycat, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down………I hope you'll feel a bit better after today.
Well that's the first working/school week of the year almost over, and I'm so glad. It's taken almost the whole week for us to get back into some sort of routine, but we’re almost there.
I know spring cleaning is supposed to be done in the spring, but I've tried to make a bit of a start this week because there's so much to do. The porch cupboard and hall cupboard are almost empty and I'm hoping to have a go at some of our bedroom drawers today. These are jobs I've been putting off for ages so I'm really chuffed with myself. I am a terrible hoarder and there's still a long way to go before I'll get the house decluttered, but at least it's a start.
I hope you all have a good Friday.......it's nearly the weekend! :j

hugs to jellycat and good luck decluttering pink. hugs to all who follow. hope everyone is well as didn't read thursdays thread yet.
missed out thursday, i went to bed at 1am thursday morning and managed to get out of bed at 10pm thursday mainly cause i was hungry! hubbie is still in bed trying to have a normal friday. we both don't keep well so i think we may have overdone it and thursday was recovery day lol!
i managed to get up in time to list on ebay and am currently going through my listings to check they are right. decluttering must be working as we are running out of stuff to sell! we need to do some car boots soon to get rid of stuff that wont sell on ebay.
still doing flylady challenge so will hopefully get some more done today. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
Hello to jellycat40,pinkwinged and chardonnay, also to any-one else that has popped in whilst i have been typing this. Jellycat40, that group sounds great. I could do with group therapy as most days i seem to battle with things in life.
Thanks to my 4 year old ds i have had a bad nights sleep and finally gave up my bed at 5.22am. Today i have to do the usual house work, paperwork, and also plan something nice for tea as my daughter is having a friend around after school. Probably home-made pizza. I do feel depressed today but then lack of sleep doesnt help. I have lots of minor things to worry about, I guess i have to remember theres always some-one worse off than me.
Glad to see the wind has clamed down at last as i found it very un-nerving!!
Have a good day every-one and hugs to those in need of one. I will probably pop back in at some point to read more posts.Love Elaine,x“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -

Morning. Day off today. But still up early anyway. I need to play catch up today. There are several things that need mending and sorting out, which I have not had chance to do. I also need to post 10 items sold on e-bay last night. These were things that I got in the Jan sales and have now made more than double on each
.
The office needs sorting and old documents shredding. I think that Spring cleaning is of the order today.
The weekend is already booked with taxi runs. Band practice tonight, birthday parties tomorrow, Church on Sunday. It will be chaotic.
I am looking forward to a catch-up day today though. I also need a new key board for the computer. This one has worn out and the space bar keeps sticking as well.
I listed loads of stuff on e-bay last night. Was that a headache!!!!! So slow, took ages.... Nice stuff though:D But I am not supposed to refer you too it... But a nice load of ladies quality lingerie....
Have a nice oneNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
Hello everybody,
Well it's a scorcher today. DGS came over yesterday. The poor little lamb wasn't feeling that well. He went to sleep in my arms and I gave him a cool bath after he woke up. Didn't have the best nights so XDIL took him off to the Dr's today. He has tonsilitis again. So he didn't go to daycare today. He should be a lot better tomorrow as the anti-biotics don't take long to kick in. It's been caught before it's turned too nasty.
I had to go into town this morning and it so happened they were on the ferry so gave them a lift to the dr's on the way. DH has just gone back to the house. He's doing outside work this arv so I"m home now. Can't you see I'm packing.Haven't read yesterday's thread so off to do that first & I hope you are all well.
Amie 33 days will fly. *Runs off to count days as well * OMG we have 24 days to go.
Jelly I hope you feel a lot better after your therapy today. It sounds great.
Well I suppose I better get movitated and start to pack. No little fairies here to do it for me. Bye for now.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning everyone
Not been to bed yet, insomnia is up the creek so doing an all night to get to bed early tonight, I am high on caffine at the moment
Had a bit of a blitz in the kitchen, we are having a load of work done on the house starting weds, will take 6 weeks to do  and need all the kitchen clearing, so I have gone through the washing basket and threw out clothes that are beyond washing and ripped ect, and did try to have a mini flylady in there, but there was nothing that needed chucking :undecided
I have piles of clothes round me, done about 4 wash loads in the night that all need putting away once everyone is up  The lounge mainly needs a hoover and thats it, and I want to get our room blitzed when bubba is having his nap, got clothes everywhere
Hope everyone has a nice day after all it is the weekend soon
Hugs to everyone that needs them and a :kisses3: on the side
Kyle, when we were in America, we went to NASA as well as there was a shuttle going off, got cancelled at last minute, but was reschedulled a few days later so we got to see it, it was ace, and a fab free day out because you just drive up to the cape and watch from there. You will have a fab time

Morning everyone
Just quickly popped in to say hello .. this thing called w**K is seriously getting in the way of my MSE browsing! I've hardly had chance to get on all week. Will need some serious catch up time this weekend
Tonight is weekly shop night - just fruit and veg plus cream for the butter making. The fridge and pantry is well stocked.
Tonight it is ready made HM spagetti bolognese - just taken out of the freezer (sauce mix I made earlier in the week and a portion of pasta mix ready to roll).
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
