  • Getting really fed up now. How are people being paid on days 7 and 8, and we are on day 11..... and have had claims in for over a year!

Hi all, Ive been hanging about reading the forums for a while and thought Id ask you all a question.

Hubby and I are waiting for a payout from HSBC, we are on working day 11 too, by my calculations. Are the people who are waiting (ie. not being paid out on days 7/8) people who HSBC will be settling debts for with some of the money being paid ? Just wondered if this is what was making it take longer?

If so when they offered you the money and took your bank account details for paying it in did they make an indication that they would be setteling balances ? I read the post from Tired Mum saying that they didnt seem to realise before that she had a debt until she called them, surely if they are settling debts they should of told you that when they offered the redress?

I ask because they didnt say that on our letter at all, but I think thats what they are doing and thats why its taking longer.

    Good luck everyone
  • Just been told 21 days if they are paying the loan off! How bloody hard can it be to justify 21 working days. Thanks hsbc for ruining a six year olds birthday! Really annoyed now!
