Your obviously unhappy with this persons reply so ring back and ask to speak to a senior claims handler.

My acceptance letter states "upto 10 working days" so I will expect the funds to be credited by then. The issue is not when your letter is received by the offices but when they get round to opening it and instigating the payment.

I recieved my letter around same time as you 2 (7th Sept) returned it next day and still no money in my account. Mine is a co-op acc. though because I closed all hsbc ones a few years ago.

Did your offer letter have any timescales on it as mine doesn't?

i was put on hold and this came from a manager, mine also going into my hsbc account, and it is being processed at the moment,was opened on th 7th sept but still not done in 10 days(working). I too expected HSBC to keep to there word but they didn't.
