I really dont know what to suggest, I dont understand expecting your parents to foot the bill for you. I too remember my mum and dad working full time jobs, and then my dad going out after tea to clean the big mixers at the local dairy until well after we had gone to bed
My eldest is 10 and is already talking about how can he get a paper round when he's old enough. Reading your theads im praying my 2 dont suddenly turn into work shy, give me everything people when they hit 17 :eek:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
It is a joke, he barely goes
I know, this is part of the problem, work scares them as college is so few hours, from reading your replies you don't seem to be THAT soft with him, to be honest your lad does more than mine..........Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
Not sure i understand what you mean? He wanted a x box game never paid £40 for one refused so he would have to work and pay half, he wants £60 nike trainers absolutely refused so he worked and paid £30, he wanted a ticket to see thewantedso traded in his games to fund it, he wanted to go to Spain so he took a banana packing job for the summer and funded it himself, we paid for the flight he paid for the clothes and his spends, he has had a few jobs, he has funded, he has seen it is too costly and asked to go halves and we have, he had a rip roaring school business selling sweets and cans of pop, he did well and funded his needs, that was years ago though, nothing much shince.
Why not? Does he not understand that come 18 he has to pay his own way in life?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

i cant work you out op. one post your full of venom about him and the next singing his praises. on the one hand you say he expects something for nothing and the other tell us how you make money from the taxpayer for keeping him!
whats clear is that like all your other threads about your son, you will blame everything wrong with him (in your eyes) on him, or society or everyone else and not accept any responsibility. thats your problem and until you finally understand that you as his parents are responsible, nothing will change. youll just be another parent who doesnt instil proper values when you should and then throw your child out without preparing them and forcing them to effectivlely parent themselves.
sixth thread? and your still in the same situation. might be time to accept your part in all of this? dont bother to answer, i already know what youll say. it never changes. broken record.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
