I bought a pack of three creams/serums from these guys using a link on Facebook. As you all know it is a scam and I was lucky to have my bank refund every illegal payment taken. The last one was over three weeks ago after 7 payments between £31 and £79.95 were taken, so I may have been able to stop it. I had to have a new debit card and the old card details used by Revitaderm are no longer any use to them.
I have had 4 packages arrive since the original ones, I sent one back to the West Lothian address they gave, I am keeping the others unopened in case there is any trouble, no point throwing even ore money away on postage!
This is a problem in USA as well..
I contacted the police in West Lothian and reported this scam and they are fully aware of it and are working on it, but payments are being taken from abroad so they ask everyone to contact their banks for help. The PO Box in West Lothian seems to be just a front, as is the phone number...there is no reply and I suspect the three minutes I was on hold were charged at premium rate!
I was not even impressed by the creams, the packaging was professional so it is not difficult to see why we all fell for this. I would never have gone for a free trial offer, I always assume if it sounds too good to be true then it usually is...and in paying £29.95 I thought it was OK. I reported this to Facebook too and I'm pretty sure their advert has gone.
so to stop this, cancel the card the payment was made with and, like me, be more wary in future!0 -

The Linlithgow PO Box is owned by PPF Shipping who are part of Phytoscience PLC in Linlithgow:

You would think that they would have had enough complaints and returned products etc by now to realise that their customer is a scam artist but perhaps they don't care as long as they keep getting paid?
This is the MP for Linlithgow - might be worth sending him a message too as I think he was involved with helping to shut down a similar acai pill free trial scam that also used a Linlithgow PO Box address?

Of course plenty of other big companies are also in effect profiting from a scam by running the ads (have seen them on Google adwords, ebay, Daily Record, Yahoo, GMX webmail, About.com (owned by New York Times) and several other sites..."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

Warning to all those who were caught in the revitaderm scam like myself.
There is another scam now circulating known as Bellaplex. This works in exactly the same way using the same photos as revitaderm.
They have a list of complaints from USA customers and have been reported. I discovered this when searching for another product got a popup with details about Bellaplex. I did some more searching and came upon another site located in the states that gives people more information regarding this new so called anti-wrinkle complex.
DO NOT BUY BELLAPLEX, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU MONTHLY.
Further words on revitaderm and perfect radiance, I was lucky and cancelled after not sleeping for two nights and discovered this website. I cancelled on the third day and have not been charged any further. Six weeks later received the trial products but I have been dooped. The packaging is not the same and the products mainly consist of emulsifiers and thickening agents. I used for 7 days and my skin did not like these products at all. So I have kept them and the postal packaging and all the emails as a backup just in case.
Bellaplex is trial at 1.99
I hope this company goes down with a big bang!!0 -
I also had a total of almost £206 taken from my account on 31st Jan and 1st Feb. I cancelled my card immediately and although this means I may not be able to get a refund, I would rather this rip off company did not have my details. My bank was less than helpful saying they would have to wait 30 days before anything could be done to retrieve my money which meant I was leaving myself exposed to more money being taken! I have cut my losses and put it down to a very bad experience. The number for the company is 0808 178 7320. They have said I will have to re activate my card in order to receive a refund...NOT A CHANCE!! The bank also said cancelling my entire account may not stop the charges??? Am I being a bit thick here??? I doubt very much that this scamming company are going to chase me for non payment of payments I never agreed to in the first place!!! Banks need to smarten up and start giving out sound advice instead of scare mongering in order not to lose your custom (put us first)!:mad:0

I too unfortunately got suckered into this so called "free trial" and 3 payments totalling £209.97 later I realised what a numpty i'd been. I thought i'd have to suck it up and learn from this lesson and never thought i'd see the money again.
However, taking into account peoples stories on here and those who have received refunds, I entered into what I thought would be a battle to get my money back, but it turned out to be a lot simpler than I thought............ so don't lose faith!!
I sent an email to both 'support@revitaderm.co.uk' and 'support@perfectradiance.co.uk' to which no response was received. After 4 days, I followed it up with a further email (copy below) and within 48 hours I had a response back from the company apologising and offering a full refund within 3-5 days (which I have now received IN FULL to my credit card) plus a confirmation cancellation email with cancellation code to confirm account is closed and no further payments will be taken.
Please, please, please do not sit by and let the company take your money. Keep pestering them and hopefully you will be as lucky as me to see your money back where it belongs.
I certainly have learned from this lesson. You do not get anything for free!!
Copy of email I sent (using some of the information fellow contributors to this forum have raised in their posts - thank you!!):
Following my initial email below to you and receiving no response from you. I write to you again to request immediate cancellation of any further shipments of your product that I have not requested (or received!!) and a full refund of £209.97 (following the 3 UNAUTHORISED transactions outlined below to my credit card).
As I have an allergy to your “free” sample products, I definitely DO NOT want any more product and have not signed anything as such to allow you to take money from my card.
Your website promises a 'Money Back 100% Guarantee 30 day money back guarantee. Furthermore, I am aware that the ASA has stated on 7th December 2011 your advertisement breached CAP Code (Edition 12) rules 3.1, 3.3 (Misleading advertising) 3.7 (Substantiation) and 3.38 (Other Comparisons)
In respect of the above would you confirm you will refund these amounts as soon as possible. If I do not receive this confirmation and the refund of both amounts as detailed, I will have no alternative but to report you once again to the ASA as well as the Trading Standards and the Fraud Department of my credit card company.
Best of luck everyone!

I signed up for the face cream, serum and eye cream. I was suspicious that it all sounded too good to be true so when I got an email confirming that they would be sending me the first of my creams I immediately contacted them to cancel - within 20 minutes. I got back confirmation of my cancellation with codes, on all my products. I didn't expect to hear any more, but realised that they had taken out the two lots of £2.95 for p&p and within 3 days I received the cream, serum and eye cream.
Having read this forum I have kept checking that no more has been taken out - and it hasn't....so far. This was two weeks ago, so fingers crossed. I think that maybe all the work done by the rest of you has made them sharpen up their act and I have been the beneficiary.
Thank you all.0 -
I phoned the company in addition to threatening legal action by email and was offered a refund immediately with an apology. I dread to think what this call has cost me though. I still could not believe the girl still wanted me to have some serum as compensation [no doubt I would have been charged for that also]. After two days I have £74.99 returned to my bank, just hoping the other £79.99 comes through soon. I only received one pot of the cream but they never even asked for it back. A lesson learnt in future, the creams I normally purchase for around £3 in many of the bargain shops in my local town are just as good [end of lines etc]. There is no such thing as a free lunch, looking good is not worth all the stress this has caused me.
Thanks to this fab website I won't fall for any scams in the future and hope this scam is soon stopped. Good luck to the rest of you and many thanks0 -
Hi Folks
I've joined the "I've been suckered" club!!
But hopefully by reading this thread, I've also joined the "Got my money back" club too.
I ordered the "samples" on 17th Jan and only realised there was a huge problem when I saw 3 large payments on the statement.
Bank was no help with those, but at least they got the next 3 refunded. I since then have the items though.
I was thinking I couldn't do anything due to time lapsed (illness) and had resigned myself to trying to sell the unopened items, but after reading this thread (yes all of it!), I decided to phone and see what would happen. (having checked with our provider that it wasn't a pricy number).
I armed myself with all the words and phrases in this thread... "only ordered samples and got full sizes, fraud dept of bank, take you to court, you already know there are problems, put me through to manager "etc.
Obviously the 1st thing she said was the month was gone, so I kept coming back with these phrases etc to let her know I was not going away.
Then she said she'd refund the last 3 payments. Not going there either as the bank has already refunded them- cheek!
So I kept insisting I wanted the first three payments refunded, then "can I speak to someone with more clout".
Used civil but firm tone. (to US lady).
Then I said as I have high blood pressure I hadn't opened any of them, and she put me on hold and then said they "would refund as an act of good faith".
She did NOT ask for them to be returned first.
She gave me 6 refund codes and said it will go through in approx 7 days.
I am honest so will return them tracked if I get a full refund. At least one of the 2 of us will be honest that way!!!
So even if you've gone over the 30 days trial time, give it a go.
I had no need to be rude or shout- I was just insistant and had my "ammo phrases" all lined up from reading this thread.
I hope this actually works and will do so for others too!0 -
I wondered if anyone else had realised that the third 'free gift' sent with the Revitaderm and Perfect Radiance products also required a cancellation code for its own contract. I received this smaller pot with the other two and didn't think at the time of cancelling those, that this, too, was sent on contract (stupid, I know). I received the other two codes, plus notification of refunds(which have duly arrived in my account), by e-mail a couple of days ago and was therefore surprised to receive this third code today. I don't want to panic anyone, and it's just a thought, but if like me you had clicked to receive this 'extra trial product free' (or whatever the wording was), when you ordered the original two trials, you also may still be under contract to this company.
My credit card company are more on the ball than I am, by the way; they have closed my account (temporarily, I hasten to add) and have asked me to destroy my current card, which they will replace shortly - the advantage being I will have a new number so any use of the old one can only be through fraudulent activity; besides, being no longer available, they cannot take any further money:T.
What a palaver!
