  • Hi Everyone!
Just a quickie to say a HUGE Thanks for your posts!
My mum got scammed by this, she is new to the internet and was so proud of herself for getting this free sample and doing it all by herself!! She has now withdrawn from the internet, and thanks to these posts she realises it's not just newbies that have been affected!
I have spoken to the 'cowboys' and they have agreed to refund all of the money deducted from my Mum's account, so fingers crossed, in 7-10 working days the money should be there!

    Thanks Again
    L xx
  • I deep down suspected something was wrong with this offer, but you know how it is, you WANT to hope...thanks to your kind comments, I stopped myself on time! Hope you manage to get your money back!
  • I too have been scammed. I cant believe that this was advertised on the BBC website as a money saver and has in the whole cost me now the best part of £154.99. Does anyone have the email address that they sent their e-mails to?

    Thanks

I've also had great news, just had a full refund for the two payments that were taken from me. I have this forum to thank for that and urge others to keep on at them and don't give up these nasty evil scammers should not be allowed to get away with this......

***What e-mail address did you write to the one I have has not replied to my e-mails and no one ever answers the phone!***
  • hi
I ordered the free trial of "perfect radiance" and revita-derm for my wife on her behalf using her own credit card.
I Then I happened to be warned on the internet that this could be a scam or fraudulant/ misleading advertising.
It is not obvious from the adverts that you are entering into an agreement to allow this company to take the full price for both products every month from from your credit card account if you do not cancel within the trial period.
I went back to webpage and looked for terms and conditions and there was a link at bottom of the page in very small print.
In the terms and conditions they explain that you have so many days to trial the product and out of those they deduct the postal time.
If they do not receive cancellation within the trial period they will charge you every month for a supply of the product at the full price.
I was lucky that I was told it was a scam. I removed most funds from wife's credit card and reported it lost. So nothing can be charged to it. I suppose I could be charged with fraud but I like to see them try. The samples are here ready for them to collect at any time. ;)
  • Hi,

I too, like many others have been scammed. On the advice of my bank I completely cancelled my account. They have also advised that I should contact the company directly in order to get my money back. However, in the event that the company did offer a refund, how would this be possible, given that I have closed my account and would be reluctant to give them my new account details?

    Thanks.

P.S. Did anyone else break out in spots after using this product?

    Hello everyone!

Just a quick note to anyone who has been duped by this to NOT give up!

My girlfriend also signed up for the free trial (or so she thought) and over the weekend found £74.95 had been taken. We had a read through the info in this thread, sent them a couple of strongly worded emails warning of trading standards, US authorities and court action, and demanded immediate cancellation and closure of all accounts.

We were going to leave it at that, but on Sunday evening I persuaded her to try phoning one of the numbers listed in the first couple of pages (08081683685).

She ended up speaking to someone who sounded Asian and demanded that the money be refunded and told them that we'd done our research online and knew it was all a scam. The woman told her that she had to return the products she had been charged for (which have not been received - only ever got the trial pots, more than two weeks after sending for them) to an address in Edinburgh. She tried to fob us off on the phone, but my girlfriend stood her ground and demanded a full refund and cancellation numbers etc (as mentioned in this thread) and she went away and spoke to her supervisor then came back with cancellation codes and refund codes. She said it would take 7-10 days to see the money back in her account. However, a further £79.99 was then taken from the account yesterday - BUT the good news is that today both sums have been credited BACK into her account. Not sure if it's come back from the company, or the bank reimbursing her, but it's still a massive relief!

Incidentally, she banks with Lloyds in the UK, and they have been pretty good with her. They changed her card number immediately, and their fraud/investigations department seemed to fully aware of the scam and said we'd done well to get through on the phone and get the result of cancellation codes. Lloyds did warn her though that even closing the account wouldn't mean she was safe as the company could, in theory, still apply to Lloyds for money from the contract she had entered into, and if the account wasn't there Lloyds would, in theory, have to inform bailiffs etc. This is all unlikely to happen, but there is the risk of it.

Personally I think that when they know they've been rumbled, they seem happy to close the accounts and make refunds knowing full well that there are millions of other people out there to scam!

So the bottom line of all this, from our experience of the last few days, is read through this thread closely, take note of phone numbers and emails and examples of how others have worded their emails and phone conversations, and the threats used, and use them to your advantage!

    GOOD LUCK!
  • Another one caught here!! Having spoken to my credit card company the contact information keeps changing. I have managed to get through today quite easily and secured both cancellation and refund codes on both products - in fact am dubious as to if the refund is going to go through as I didnt have to push or argue or threaten with Trading standards or anything!!! but we will see. For anyone who might want the telephone number it is 0808 168 3685

    good luck everyone!!
  • Hi can someone give me the e-mail address and telephone number to get this refund please.

    Thanks
