  • I was fortunate in realising almost immediately it was a scam. Sent e-mails cancelling accounts with both and after reading posts here contacted the Fraud Department of my credit card company. Advisor was extremely helpful [he had already spoken to them that day] and put me straight through to their customer care. It took a while but eventually got 'cancellation codes'. E-mailed quoting these and mentioning that my call had been via the fraud department, asked for e-mail confirmation that the accounts were indeed cancelled, which came today. Even if I find more payments have been taken am confident that fraud dept more than up to dealing with these people. Can recommend Bank of America's efficiency. Thanks to everyone who has posted about this, if I had not read your comments would have taken a much slower and gentler approach and no doubt suffered for it!
  • My wife ordered this 1hour ago, luckily she told me,I saw the scam and she rang m+s credit cards, they had already taken first small payment so they have cancelled her card and given her a new number so nothing more will go out.if you cannot get through either cancel your card or phone up and report it lost
  • I've been caught too. Have tried to ring 2 numbers but numbers don't exist. I've also tried e-mailing via their website. No response.
Tried through e-mail as you so - support@perfectradiance co.uk. This couldn't be sent as e-mail address doesn't exist.
Like quite a few others who find their credit card co.or banks not helpful, RBS knows about this but also said they can't help as customers have signed up for this contract. Having read other's problems I'm also furious that the Banks know about it but do nothing to stop their customers getting caught out & even when you report it to them, still say nothing can be done.

Wow this is good news :). I'm still waiting but my 7 to 10 days isn't up yet and I can't relax until my money is put back into my account but love to see people getting theirs back gives me a lot of hope......

Great news - I got my money back in full.!! You HAVE TO keep hassling them and threatening them. I did that and got my money back within 5 days even though they said it might take a month! yes and by that time they might be out of business!:rotfl: I threatened them with fraud squad, OFT etc but now I have my money back I am going to change my card details at the bank in case they forget and take next months instalment!!!!!! I am now reporting them seriously as they are still advertising all over the internet - Margaret C :T

Many thanks for all the info you posted. re revita derm.
Don't feel such a fool now after reading how many others have been scammed by this, but it's still worrying me as to how long they can get money from my credit card, a I'm a pensioner living on just my state pension.
After trying the phone nos. & couldn't get through & e-mailing hem, I tried one of the e-mail addresses you gave & finally got an automated response saying they'd rec'd it & will deal with it within the next 48 hrs. (fingers & toes are crossed- making typing this rather difficult).

As an ex-bank employee, now retired, I can't understand how when people contact their banks they do nothing. The first response from mine, was the same as many others have posted, is that they know about this scam but won't stop any further payments to them. I'd have thought that knowing about it for many months some procedure could be put in place whereby when a customer notifies them of a cancellation of contract/account they automatically stop any future payments being claimed. My bank (RBS) has informed me today that until I receive, complete & return a form to them (which is going to take 5/7 days to reach me initially) they cannot do anything. Even when they get the form back, this co.can still request payments & will show on my credit card statement, but they will them refund them to me each time. So who knows- this could go on for months, if not longer?
Anyway, many thanks for your info once again

Thanks for this will pass it on to others
  • Scammed by the same company and felt like an idiot!
Not to worry as I received a 100% refund!
I threatened them with police and had fraud dept of credit card company investigating them! They have a 24 hour phone line so I found it easier to get them during the night. They are very frustrating on the phone but I got very angry and hey presto! Refund!
Don't give up and don't be nice
It's not advertised as it is and is completely illegal as they do not explain clearly what they will do. Anyway it is not a free trial.
Keep going people and just hassle them until you get your refund!
  • I too fell for this scam. After the 1st £74.95 payment went through I emailed Perfect Radiance requesting a refund, and received a prompt refusal on the grounds that I had signed up for monthly payments unless I cancelled within the stated time period. I followed up with another email giving 14 days notice that I would issue a County Court summons using the small claims track for £74.95 plus court and administrative costs. My 2nd email elicited an apology and assurance that I would receive a £74.95 refund within 5 days, which I did. So I encourage other victims to persevere with demands for a refund. I have previously successfully used notice of a small claims county court summons with dishonest merchants. On only one occasion did I have to issue the summons - a relatively simple online exercise. The case was not defended and I received full payment in due course. Good luck fellow victims!

I've also had great news, just had a full refund for the two payments that were taken from me. I have this forum to thank for that and urge others to keep on at them and don't give up these nasty evil scammers should not be allowed to get away with this......
  • I too have discovered today I am a victim of this scam!! £74.95 has been dedected from my account and my bank has advised a further payment of £51.95 is pending for tomorrow, unfortunately the banks can do nothing as it is stipulated in Revita terms and condition, On the web I cannot see this in their terms. However, I have contacted the shippers in Edinburgh, 01506 847040 who confirmed they only ship!!! yet they are Photoscience? I have e mailed for full refund or I will use court action. Will keep the site updated
