Click on 'Upgrade' Account and if it states 'You already hold the highest account' or try and apply for another account and it states 'Sorry, we can't offer you a secondary account' then you have a CPD marker on.
It's the same with Lloyds TSB and has been for donkeys years.
As a general rule of thumb, this can't be changed - although no harm in calling them and speaking with lending. Only bother if things dramatically change with your credit commitments elsewhere, internal behaviour changes on the account or you start putting in a ton more money in the account.
Not 100% correct for my partner. When she tries to apply for a second current account, it shows 'Sorry, we can't offer you a secondary account' but she can upgrade to the highest available account and has tried to increase the overdraft limit by £50 and it was accepted straight away. So that can't be CPD marker but for some reason she cannot apply for an another current account - Do you think it might still be fault in their system?
Other than that we are happy the way internet banking currently being working 0 had no other problems.0 -
What you trying to say :rotfl:(only joking) *hides card right at back of wallet lol
My Easycash card never leaves the house I got it for flights as well. The Easycash account is worse than the cardcash because I was given the option to apply for upgrade to a current account from the cardcash account but that option was not available with the Easycash account.
The new Easycash card looks better than the nasty green one so I guess they are trying to improve.0 -
Should be ok I was able to open a 2nd current account online ( classic) not sure if it makes a difference as i am with bos also allows an overdraft increase0

My Easycash card never leaves the house to be honest. I try to keep my wallet minimalistic now adays. However the design is totally better than the old green card. Im actually at a loss to why they never changed the easycash card to a visa debit tooIm an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

No she does not have a CPD Marker on her account, for CPD it has to say both not just one i.e Can't Open another account & Can't Upgrade to higher account.David

A CPD99 does not stop a AVA from being upgraded, A CPD99 is put in place to prevent further lending in cases where the customers risk band and credit report would normally allow for new/additional borrowing.
In my previous post I forgot to mention that people who use there current account for online gambling etc are likely to have a CPD99 placed on their account.
CPD99 can stop AVA's because I fall into this category myself with Lloyds TSB.
When I first joined it was either Silver Account or Classic - Never been able to upgrade to another AVA and I was told this was due to the fact I had CPD99 on the account as AVA's are classed as a credit product (even though you might not want the overdraft or might not qualify for the fee-free overdraft each AVA has to offer).
I went with Silver to start with, and to Classic but wanted to go back to Silver as I got a new high-end phone but was told that I can't I have it with CPD 99 on the account.
Had it for one year, with tons of money in the account - Won't even allow me a Chequebook - No Charges and it still remains the same.
Not fussed like, just saying!David

Hi, Needed some advise for my brother - he has a LTSB Cash Account for the last 3-4 years. Is it possible to upgrade Cash Account to a classic account?
His been to LTSB branch today and I was with him aswel - when the adviser was checking his account I noticed the CPD was written on the computer screen. At the time he opened up the cash account his credit report was very poor but it has improved now because some defaults/CCJs has been removed because of 6 yr rule.

I have the LTSB cash account that I opened when I had defaults and even through my defaults have fallen off nearly three years ago and my credit file is clean I cannot get it upgraded for love or money. I was told by a advisor that cash accounts are not designed to be upgraded and the only way to get a classic account is appeal to a underwriter. I just it as a spare account because I have a full main account with another bank.
Now that LTSB merged their systems with Halifax I do not think that my cardcash will be upgraded anytime soon but I also used it as a spare account as well so I am not bothered.0 -

Because the Cash Account does not come with the ability to obtain a cheque book or overdraft it will always have CPD regardless of how well the account is run and regardless of how many or little defaults are on a persons credit file.
Only way is to close the Cash Account, and try to re-apply for the Classic account but there is no guarantee that the application will be successful or for it to offer another Cash Account.David
