Also just tried to apply for internet - after entering the password and clicking on "Apply" and it states:-
We're sorry, but we're unable to open this account for you online. Please call us on 0845 602 0000 (+44 1132 851 888 from outside the UK) or Textphone 08457 32 34 36.
Anyone else having this problem? MS0 -

I see it has a new BIN (I think). I have a BoS a/c that I upgraded to a Gold A/c as I will use the benefits, got the card yesterday (exactly as pictured on the website) and notice it also has a brand new BIN as part of a whole new range. I am going to try it with ASDA on-line later, it starts 4762 21, see if my shopping turn up tomorrow!0

I have not tried mine yet I only normally use it to book flights.
However if the BIN range has changed I can imagine there may be some acceptance issues if updates havent taken place.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
I don't get whats going on with Halifax:(
I have an Easycash account, I've had for 3 years. In June I applied for the current account and was finally accepted:j. The current account was opened and in August I asked for a £100 overdraft facility, so I had a buffer, again this was accepted. I had recently been looking at upgrading to a reward account to get the £5 every month. I went on the site, into my account and pressed the upgrade button. It opened up the online application to upgrade, I read all the info etc but then decided to wait for another month so. Having come full circle from a terrible time with credit problems, I thought I might be pushing the boundries a bit too far to soon.
On Monday after the upgrade, my Easycash Card picture online disappeared and was replaced by a white box:eek: and I couldn't access any details. On Tuesday the picture had come back showing the electron card and things were fine with that. I accessed my current account details and went looking to see what had changed. I then clicked on the upgrade button to see what happened.........
It came up and said "according to our receords youa already hold the highest reward account you can have. It clearly shows that I have the standard current account but against the other accounts thay are shadowed out and say they are not available. If I press on apply online and click bank accounts it says, 'sorry we cant open you a second current account.
Now I suppose it could be because I am not eligable to upgrade or it could be that the whole system has gone batty and needs "a little extra help"0 -
Well there was something mentioned in one of the other threads, about the Lloyds CPD (credit policy decline) marker now being present on HBOS accounts, as they are now on the same system. So it seems this may be why you can't upgrade.Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

Lloyds don't just give out CPD99 for fun.
The main reasons are:
[1] Living in your Overdraft ( Never being in credit)
[2] Adverse credit history
[3] Refinancing your existing borrowing with the bank
etc etc
A CPD99 will prevent you from obtaining any further borrowing from the lloyds banking group, the CPD99 is reviewed 1 year after it is applied to your customer profile - you could be a riskband 1 and stil have a CPD99.0
