So how can you find out if this has been done to you, or can't you?0

I would recommend you order a replacement card and see whats sent to you.
The website suggests you will get a visa debit card though however this information may be incorrect.
I doubt no one will know until they experiement and ask for a replacement card.
I ordered a replacement will let you know what they send to me.0 -

Its for cardcash so if the website is right it should be a visa debit. I asked about the visa debit but they did not know anything about it. However the man did say to me that if the website says Visa debit then that should be what they are sending out.
Its not my main account so if they send out a visa electron then that is fine with me.0 -

Update
I called Halifax this morning and they said that anyone over 18 with a Card cash account will get a Visa Debit and if you are under 18 with a Cardcash you may get a Electron or Visa Debit. The lady said that she only found out this morning about the cards changing and not all of the staff are aware of it yet which is why there are mixed messages when you call Halifax.
The lady also said that Halifax are trying to get away from Electron cards so guess they will have to change the Easycash cards at some point. I think because Easycash account are meant to be worst than the cardcash account that they will be last to change0 -
How to find out if you have CPD marker on your account?
Click on 'Upgrade' Account and if it states 'You already hold the highest account' or try and apply for another account and it states 'Sorry, we can't offer you a secondary account' then you have a CPD marker on.
It's the same with Lloyds TSB and has been for donkeys years.
As a general rule of thumb, this can't be changed - although no harm in calling them and speaking with lending. Only bother if things dramatically change with your credit commitments elsewhere, internal behaviour changes on the account or you start putting in a ton more money in the account.David

A CPD99 does not stop a AVA from being upgraded, A CPD99 is put in place to prevent further lending in cases where the customers risk band and credit report would normally allow for new/additional borrowing.
In my previous post I forgot to mention that people who use there current account for online gambling etc are likely to have a CPD99 placed on their account.0 -
