Wooo hoooo I'm in the September 3rd Gang and today got my calculations offer today. Wonder if it had anything to do with the complaining through the Financial Ombudsman lol

Its more than I was expecting so thats a bonus although I'm always sceptical until its actually in my hand!!!! Said it could be 28 days for cheque to be issued!!! Lets hope it doesnt snow or the posties go on strike!!!
  • Success! Finally got my money! £2650 received by cheque today! Complaint form sent off on 17 May 2011
  • Me too guys!! I got my cheque today!!!!!!!:beer: no breakdown though and we kinda thought it would be more but hey £1500 is not to be sniffed at!! Look forward to seeing the calculations. Cheque sent on 18th breakdown letter sent 23rd. A familiar story going by todays posts!! Sounds like they really did wait til their quarterly results were announced before they issued a huge batch of payments, as someone on another thread has suggested. A lot of payouts in the last few days. :T:T Have fun spending everyone who has got paid and good luck to those who are still waiting.

I received a letter on 3rd October acknowledging our PPI complaint for a mortgage we had with Halifax from 2001 -2006, so that was 8 weeks ago but not heard anything since.

I have tried phoning the PPI number on the letter but I can never get through.

Have you heard anything yet? My mum and dad received there acknowledgement for their mortgage letter 17.10 and they haven't heard anything yet either.
  • Looks like a lot of folks on this thread are receiving their calculations and cheques now so hopefully I won't be far behind as I am in the May complaint/Sept acceptance gang!

No idea how much I am getting back but I am expecting somewhere between 5K-10K.

    Hi
Just got off the phone to the PPI complaints dept. as I still have not had a calculation breakdown from my compliant that I raised in May and recived the acceptance offer at the start of September which was returned the same day. Halifax said that cases' raised around this time period were being treated as "High Priority" and are aiming to make payments before the 15th December. I highly doubt this will be the case so raised an compliant with the Financial Ombudsman Service as soon as I got of the phone to the Halifax. Maybe this will spur them on a bit....
  • Hi
Just spoken to a very helpful guy at Halifax who has said a calculations letter had been sent out on the 23rd and should be with me next week. He gave me a quick breakdown of the refund, just over £7K which should be with me before Xmas. _party_The kids are going to have a great Xmas this year.
    :xmassign:
They recieved our offer reply on 16th August if that helps anyone. We claimed on a loan and mortgage.
    Cheers

Just had cheque through today, the balance of my loan has been paid off + £416 so in total just short of £1000....pretty happy with that, still no calculations!

+ no more loans! (well, I have finance on a car, but not much left on that!)
