Whooop, after realising that I was entering the 10th week of my claim, I have returned home to an upheld letter for my mortgage PPI. This has come after one simple phone call to the Halifax, who took all my details and I completed no forms myself. I'm skipping round the house with excitement lol. A big thank you to everyone on here, if I hadn't read some of your posts I wouldn't have realised that we had a claim. Good luck to everyone else.

Posted on the success thread as well, just received refund from complaint on a secured loan with Halifax, wasn't a single premium so had monthly premiums and 8% interest added to it, worked out a bit more than my calculations so quite happy with that, just over £300, also settled just over 3 weeks less than the 12 weeks time limit, so it seems some departments are working better than others, but thats us had a TMPP, credit card and loan settled within their time limits and cheque received within a few days of the letter, although in this latest one the cheque has arrived before the offer.

Good luck all, and I hope they get their fingers out and pay out soon.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

My acknowledgement letter was dated 5th September 2011. Yesterday I received a letter dated 8th November upholding my complaint (credit card PPI) saying money would be paid onto my card as I'm on DMP with £3k plus outstanding.
This morning I got card statement dated 8th November showing the full credit onto my card and I also received a cheque for the full amount !!!
Do I bank the cheque and hope they don't notice? Surely the worst that can happen is they take it back of my card account?

Hi I was just wondering what happened regarding you receiving the cheque. Did you contact them regarding this as you were on a DMP. We have just received a letter stating that they have upheld our complaint and that we are owed £4147.23, but we are with Blair Oliver and Scott HALIFAX's debit agency repaying this at a set amount each month. The letter does not mention arrears, only states funds will go onto the card and cheque issued. I would not think they will be able to debit the card again as infact card not an active account anymore.
    Any comments advise appreciated.
  • Hi all,
My partner has also sent back her acceptance letter start of september and is with the magical calculations department. She has rang a few times to no avail, however she did find out something which may explain alot. The last advisor she dealt with admitted because the timescale has gone on so long (about 21 weeks in total) they are dealing with ones they can try to do within the timescale as to not get fined more. So you may be waiting a while and probably find people who have sent in ppi claims later than yourself get paid before you.
I Know not good news but thought would let you all know

25 weeks since I submitted my original complaint, and 10 weeks today that my acceptance letter showed as received on their system.

No changes showing on my credit card or loan this morning. :(

Congrats zzharia, do you mind telling us when you put your claim in, and when they sent you the upheld letter?
