    Hi guys

I first made my claim for unfair PPI charges back in May this year. After getting a couple of “we are dealing with your compliant” letters I finally received a letter on 26th August stating Halifax were going to refund all PPI payments made to the 3 credit cards I’ve had in the past.

I signed the forms and posted on the 1st September and have not heard a peep from Halifax giving me a breakdown of what they are going to pay.

I’ve phoned the 0845 6014034 number given on my letter 3 times and have been told that it’s being processed and there is no timescale for payments.

Getting a little fed up now as I have been banking with Halifax for over 15 years and find the level of communication over this matter appaling.

Any advice on what steps to take now?

Shall I try emailing Mr Osorio? If so, does anybody have a email address?

    Thanks for your help!
    Steve

  • Hey there,

Just adding to the many others.

    It has also been 10 weeks since I sent back my acceptance... I am now waiting for the calculations to be completed and get fobbed off with the same old response of;

There is a backlog and we cant give you a timescale unfortunately!!!

Perhaps they could stop taking payments from my loan whilst they hold onto the money they owe me...

    A very frustrated Malcolm :(

That seems odd, they also confirmed my acceptence form on the 3rd September....maybe they are paying people in waves and we will all get our claim on the same day! Heres hoping its soon!

It definitely seems like there were a lot of uphelds issued on 26th august. And acceptances logged back in around the 3rd sept. Heres hoping this is the week for our group to get our cheques!!

Ditto here too..... at the end of my tether now. Phone weekly to be given the same old lines from the same old script. Cannot be put through to anyone more senior or anyone in calculations team or Sinead who wrote to me after my eMail to CEO complaining about the handling of my complaint ..... she is in different location and will ring me back apparantly because the redress team have sent her an eMail asking her to.... yeah right, course she will.

I cannot believe the way they are handling this and the complete lack of communication around timescales etc. Turning me into a right grumpy cow now:eek:. I think 6 months is long enough to have to wait, they have had time to get their act together now and need to get their house in order - it is a total shambles.

  • So I had a phonecall from Simon today at the PPI complaints team after sending my email to the CEO. Seems that he has no idea of the status of my compliant apart from being with the redress team waiting to be calculated. He can't give me any timescales as there is a huge backlog to work through. Nice to have someone actually call me but am astounded that it took to having to search the MSE forum for the CEO's email address to do so!
    The waiting game continues!
  • Fingers crossed for the 'September acceptance' gang then (me included!) - what surprises me is people getting a phone call, all I got was a letter spewing the same line I get on the phone!

    Good luck everyone though :)
