Just off the phone to the Halifax again after sending them an email yesterday! my claim is still in the calculation stage after 10weeks!!!!!!! But they sent me out a letter apologising at the length of time it is taking due to backlogs and telling me that they cant give any timescale blah blah blah.
Seriously fed up with this now, they must have 10 year old primary school children working on this, I mean how difficult can it be. Imagine sitting down to a GSCE maths question and being given 10 bl%%dy weeks to do it! and still not getting it finished!!

Do you think it might be worth having a look at the figures myself and doing the calculations for them, sending it in the post along with my workings + a hefty administration fee....as Im sure if the roles were reversed, they would be do the same for me!

Found this in the local paper, hopefully someone is reading his emails!

The chief executive of Lloyds Banking Group has been ordered to stand down due to stress.

Doctors have told Antonio Horta-Os!rio to take six to eight weeks’ leave from the semi-nationalised banking giant, which has a main office at Trinity Road, Halifax, and employs more than 6,000 people in Calderdale.
The 47-year-old joined Lloyds from rival Santander in March and set about radically restructuring, with plans to cut 15,000 jobs and sell off 630 retail bank branches.

Hmmm, get out of jail free eh!!!
I'm surprised they put it in there TBH!! I can say though, theres plenty of jobs being offered by the Halifax locally lately........probably to get rid if the backog of PPI:rotfl:

    Hi People
Phoned Nerys yesterday asking her to email redress department as I have broken my tooth and need a crown and so am desparate for money. She promised she would. Just come out of a meeting and my OH called to say that he has received a call from Halifax and some figures. Rang Nerys myself and she told me letter coming out (by 2nd class post) with calculations and cheque should be with us within a week for .WAIT FOR IT £4938.78. Yipee. I am to ring her if no cheque arrives. Will be ringing dentist shortly to book appointment.

    So:

    Claim received 2 Jun
    Letter upholding - 27 Aug
Acceptance received and scanned by Halifax on 16 September
3 Nov - call received giving calculations.

    Now to wait for cheque.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

Most excellente:T to both you and Banks0ME:T

Although, its a poor do, if you have to tell them you need a tooth done to get further down the queue:( If you need the cash, you need the cash, you shouldn't have to tell your personal circumstances to get them to pull their socks up.
Speaking of which, after 2 months, the OH has finally got a new job to start tomorrow morning:j.....so I might have some of my 6.5k left for xmas:D, rather than using it for living expenses:(

I asked for the calculations that they used for my PPI redress of my Credit Card.

After waiting over 2 weeks (nearer 3), I have received a list of PPI premiums.

The total premiums and then a fiigure for APR interest and a figure for 8%.

Nothing to say how they came to the figure for the APR interest etc.

So, I have started a lovely little spreadsheet to show them how they should have done it in my opinion.

    First PPI premium was 1999.

I have got as far as 2004 and I have already got a higher figure than I have received.

The hard part is that I kept paying it off and therefore the compound interest wasn't continuous.

Can't wait until I am ready to write back :rotfl:
    I'm a secret crime fighter ;)
  • Hi there,
I hope I'm not too cheeky in asking for this Nerys' number at all?

are people still e-mailing antonio now that he's signed off?

We've been waiting for ages and keep getting fobbed off.
  • Glad to see some people finally getting their money (or at least a step closer!).
I am now on day 64 since they received my acceptance so fingers crossed I will be getting some letters in the next few weeks!!
