I'm going to wait until Monday, as that will be 8 weeks exactly since they received my acceptance letter, and if I haven't heard anything, I shall be calling Nerys too! (After I'd e-mailed the CEO, she was the one who called me back and left a voicemail with her direct number.) She did say she would call me if there was any developments, but I also need to check what address they're going to be sending my cheques to, as my annual loan statement is still going to my parents' address!!

    Hi All,

I can confirm I have now recieved a call from the Halifax confirming my figures/calculations. I am very soon to be in receipt of the last three PPI refunds I have been waiting for!:T:T:T:T:T:T

After almost 70 days, or 64 working days my calculations are now complete and payment is in the post-(2nd class) so should be with me by early next week!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

After calling nearly every day and watching the days go by, once these payments are received I would have come to the end of my PPI refund journey. Thank you all for your support especially the regulars (Amersall, Di etc) your help has been gratefully received.:T:T:T:T:T

I wish you all well in PPI journeys, good luck.;););););)

Congrats to you! But don't count your chickens, you don't have the money in the bank yet ;););)

  • Hi.

I have been watching this forum with keen interest. My letter was originally sent at the beginning of June (22 weeks ago) and my acceptance letter was returned 10 weeks ago!

I emailed antonio on 19th October, but all i recieved was a letter saying they were investigating my complaint and could give no timescale as to when it would be resolved.

Its not great is it... not a word from them, phone calls or otherwise. Is it really necessary to chase this every day?

Its great to hear some of you have had success and it suggests that they are actually doing something, but the communication and consitancy is really poor.
  • I really think I need to speak to Nerys too!! She phoned my oh and sent us a letter but the call was when my oh was at work and he cant find paper where he noted details (like her direct number grrrrrr, men!!). He says she promised to phone him with updates but of course nothing yet. If anyone fancies pm'ing me her number I'd be so grateful??

Well done banks0 at last movement for you, heading in the right direction now!! Im at 50 working days tomorrow since offer, 47 since the received my acceptance, and as theyre working 'weekends' I think its reasonable to include weekends too so that makes 65 days!! Well something like that anyway!! Grrrrr :mad:

  • Found this in the local paper, hopefully someone is reading his emails!

The chief executive of Lloyds Banking Group has been ordered to stand down due to stress.

Doctors have told Antonio Horta-Os!rio to take six to eight weeks’ leave from the semi-nationalised banking giant, which has a main office at Trinity Road, Halifax, and employs more than 6,000 people in Calderdale.
The 47-year-old joined Lloyds from rival Santander in March and set about radically restructuring, with plans to cut 15,000 jobs and sell off 630 retail bank branches.
Car loan £8105.35 57/60 payments left of £141.80 per month
Loan £6687.23 55/58 payments left of £165 per month
    Nationwide £1183 (0% interest until 02/2026)

    Total debt £15975.48

Just made another call to Halifax. Again no update still in the calculation stage. Explained to the guy i'm into week 9 of waiting for my calculations, he said there are no guideline pay out times, he cannot stipulate a payment time as it will be against the guidlines. All that he can advise me to do if I wanted to was make a complaint to the F/O as I have been waiting a long time.

What would you guys advise me to do? Contact F/O or email the CEO although he is off on sick leave. I've not been offered any person who I can contact directly or for anyone to contact me. Been fed the same lines week in and week out. Explained to them I helped my father claim his money from them a week after mine, and he got calculations a week later!!! And paid out 3 weeks ago! Answer I got they can't comment on other peoples cases.

I haven't gone heavy on them yet as not sure if 9 weeks is the norm to wait or an acceptable time? Any advice/guidance would be very much appreciated!
  • Hi People
Phoned Nerys yesterday asking her to email redress department as I have broken my tooth and need a crown and so am desparate for money. She promised she would. Just come out of a meeting and my OH called to say that he has received a call from Halifax and some figures. Rang Nerys myself and she told me letter coming out (by 2nd class post) with calculations and cheque should be with us within a week for .WAIT FOR IT £4938.78. Yipee. I am to ring her if no cheque arrives. Will be ringing dentist shortly to book appointment.

    So:

    Claim received 2 Jun
    Letter upholding - 27 Aug
Acceptance received and scanned by Halifax on 16 September
3 Nov - call received giving calculations.

    Now to wait for cheque.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.
