    Hi All,

I commenced my PPI journey with Halifax for PPI on 3 CC's on the 09/05/11 and have been awaiting accepted refunds for what will be 10 weeks this coming Friday, that's 70 days from receipt of acceptance at the Halifax, or 640 working hours for the Halifax.(64 working days) or 38,400minutes.

This whole scenario is just ridiculous! The longest credit card is 8 years so that's 8x12 calculations plus interest, I am sure that many of us forum users could calculate the correct figure within minutes-These banks are defiantly dragging their heels on these payments now-I am absolutely disgusted:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Phoned the 0845 number and 15 mins later got through. I have had my acceptence in since 5th September. She confirmed that the acceptance was with the redress department and unfortunately they are not working to any time scales. I said when the calculations are done then will I get a cheque. She said no and that I would have to send another acceptance of the calculations through and then await a cheque.

Original complaint went in 01/06/2011 so it looks like at least 6 months before I get anything like a payment for mis sale.

I wouldnt mind but all they have to do in my case is add up 7 years payments and calculate the 8 %. I can do the sums on the spreadsheet in less than 10 Minutes including data entry. Joke.

Hi, I am a long time lurker and avid reader of the forums and just wanted to say that the help on these Forums is amazing !

I am reclaiming PPI from the Halifax (Loan) and would like to calculate how much roughly to expect back, any help would be very much appreciated thank you. Details as follows..

Amount of credit (Cash Loan) £13.000
Total charge for credit for loan £3.313.64
Total amount ypou pay for cash Loan £ 16.313.64
Insurance Loan (Cash price of Insurance) £3.074.26

*edited to add that as of this morning thetre is £720.00 left to pay to clear loan*

You have to pay the Loan (cash loan and insurance loan) and arrangement fees on the loan by 84 monthly payments of £240.14

We will use the Insurance loan to pay the provider of Personal Loan Repayment cover

Letter of acceptance recieved by Halifax on September 16th.....I called this morning to be told that It's with the calcs dept and that no figures are showing on my notes. (Also called them 2 weeks ago to be told the same) Have e-mailed this morning also.

From the above details could someone kindly help me with how much to expect please.

Well done to people who have already had their refunds and good luck to the rest awaiting refunds etc :-)

My wife is just off the phone to Halifax, the guy was the most helpful so far after several times of calling. He said that there are four stages that the claims have to go through my wifes is in the third stage which is when offers are being signed off with the fourth being payment. My claim is in the second stage which is the calculations even though both claims were accepted on the same day. This would lead you to think that it could be a matter of a few weeks until we recieve her money but we have thought this before and are waiting yet.
He said that they are not allowed to put timescale to these stages as customers may become angry when the time scale elapse.
Any one else been told this?

Amazingly I am surprised there isn't 10 stages. After the pain of waiting for nearly 10 weeks it would be logical to think 1 week per stage but this is the Halifax we are dealing with isn't it.

Not putting a time scale means that they are not working to a Service Level-it's a joke.:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

What ever happened to the Customer Charters that you used to see every where not so long ago????:eek::eek::eek::eek:

True to her word 'Nerys' chased up the last amount, within 24 hrs, it appeared in my bank account.

£6.5k in total....but my word have I had to fight tooth and nail to get at it!!!!!!

I advise everybody to email that CEO, and give them your telephone number, you will get a call within 24 hrs of your complaint, and if you tell them you really need that cash, that person who calls you will chase it up....just make sure they give you their direct line. Be polite, and they will work for you, and get you your money. :)

Now to start chasing my mums up.....she has been a week behind me in every step, but has not heard a dicky bird since the uphold letter......well over 8 weeks ago!
