Just phoned hfx again....to be told still no news on my calculations!!! Received my upheld letter on the 18th August sent it back and it was received on the 24th August. It was scanned on the 1st September, so I am now on day 58 with still no calculations let alone any money!!!! Am so very, very cross with their pathetic excuses and the "i'm sorry I can't give you a time scale"!!!!! I feel a very snotty email coming on!

Hi, my wife and I both have loans with the Halifax, we sent in 2 seperate complaints both were successful. Our letters from them was recieved on the 25th August. First of all the halifax helpline is useless! everytime I call they tell me that they cant tell me how much Im getting or when I getting it. But My wife rang 2 weeks ago and was told that hers had past the calculation stage but we still dont know how long this will take. I then rang today to be told that mine which was sent on the same day is still in calculation stage!. I really dont get it.
Has anyone been told that their compliant has past the calculation stage and if so how long was it until they got thier money?

    So Antdon,

You sent your acceptance back and was received at the end of July, If any one had theirs received at the end of August it would seem logical to state that I still have some time to wait.:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Well done on receiving whats due to you.:T:T:T:T:T

  • Even though I have received all the money owed to me, my ex partner still hasn't received any correspondence or cheque regarding his 50% of two that I have!!!

Now if that don't make sense, nobody elses will!! I can't believe that two with the same reference numbers just get totally disregarded because I haven't got any right to push them for it:mad: At least when he does eventually get them, its like a rainy day fund for me:D

More cheques Ian!!!!!!!!! How many is that now???? You lucky man!! Congratulations!! I think i remember your dates close to mine.?? Upheld letter end of aug and ceived by them 3/9?? Im still waiting, credit card in my case.

What do you recommend, sit tight and wait or Keep phoning and emailing??

I received it on the 25th August and returned via Special Delivery on the same day, received by them on the 26th.

This appears to be the crucial difference to most who sent it via snail mail and thus taking a week longer to get there.

I've had 7 cheques in total.

I haven't received the paperwork to remove the PPI from my existing loan, so I'm annoyed about that, nor have I received the figures for how they have wrongly calculated my CC.

I would sit tight for another week as chasing them does nothing to help IMO.

I too have recieved my part of the joint ppi claim....
I assume your ex-partner has to make a claim too.....
  • Antdon, between us we've chased them for weeks over it. We gave his details sat in the bank over the phone, and a fortnight later, I had to give it them again, as it wasn't there!!!
Finally someone has called my ex partner, who has confirmed his share should come to me, by his authority......I paid it all when he left.
So the lady with the direct number said this morning it has been authorised to go straight into my account, and she will chase it. The last lot she chased it was in the bank within 24hrs:D

Another £1400 at some point this week to me:T

Thars great dizzee, a result at last for you! Can i ask how you managed to get a direct number? We thought we'd been given a direct number for our claims handler but when we called it was just the usual!!:mad:

  • Received my acceptance letter on saturday morning in my married name!
Received my letter with cheque attached also on sat morning, letter headed in my married name, cheque on bottom in maiden name!!!!
How the hell does that happen?????????????

Phoned this morning (not operating on sats) man apologised, said he had no idea how that could happen and he'd email accounts so they could sort it!

Asked if he could sort it now, no, has to go to accounts. Upon asking, he has no idea how long it will take, or if they could transfer it straight to my current account or not, in fact he didn't seem to know anything other than there was a hge backlog and they would get to it as soon as poss!

I did then (rightly or wrongly not sure) pointed out it had already been "sorted" it was now my money and it was not my fault they had made a mistake and that i wanted it sorted asap!

He said i should hear what they are doing soon!! Grrrr:mad:

Already decieded, they have till wed, then i'm on the phone again. Seeing the cheque and then having it dangled just out of reach is unbearable, it's worse than just not knowing! x
