Persistence paid off, and I went to Asda this afternoon to find the Halifax had finally caved in and deposited £2506.78 into my account, rather than issuing a cheque.
Bottle of single malt bought for the OH birthday tomorrow!!!

Cheque on its way for £1178!!!! No idea whats going on with the ex, but I can hold out for that to be cleared up.
Congratulations! Glad your persistance paid off. I put my claim in at the beginning of May and am still waiting to receive calculations / money. Hopefully it will be soon. Perhaps I will start to call them now!0 -

Depends when you sent the acceptance forms back, and even then that has no bearing on coughing up! Seems to me they are having issue with the dates between 26th August and 3rd September, with the odd sprinkling of people waiting since June....in fact edit that, all of us !!
Mine have been small amounts in comparison to most, with 2.5k being the biggest, the smallest being 215 quid, but it all started with 215 cheque, but with a three week between them up to today.
Postie been.....no £1173 cheque today
antonio dot osorio at lloydsbanking dot com all lower case letters, no gaps
Thanks so much for that - really appreciate it0 -
ooooooooo the cheque arrived this morning toooo......halleluja
So, just waiting to see if the other two get to the ex partner!0 -
I have been following this thread for a while and thought I would add mine to the list. I have dealt with mine and my dad's claims.
We both sent our letters back in May and both got acceptance letters at the end of August.
They recieved our letters to accept the amounts at the start of September.
My dad recieved a breakdown and a cheque within a week! I haven't even recieved a calculation amount yet.
I have bugged them with calls for the past 3 weeks, but still no joy. I have explained that my dad has got his cheques so why haven't I. They can't answer it! I am losing my patience with them!0 -
After sending my e-mail yesterday, I now have a contact in the customer relations department. She couldn't give me any more information, other than that it's the sheer volume of claims that are being processed at the moment that is making everything go very slowly. Plus my loan was a refinancing loan, and one of the credit cards I'd had for a few years, so someone has to sit there and physically enter the figures from each statement... but she'll call me as soon as something comes through on my claim...~cherie0

Even If they do go through every statement it still should not take that long because one a month for a year is only 12 and if 4 years only 48 so doesn't take that long to add up at all.:(:(:(:(:(:(
I could add 48 or more figures together in minutes on a calculator, maybe they are still using an abacus?Money Saving-Reclaiming-And Won!!!:j:j:j:j:j

I spoke to my claims handler on wednesday and she told me that they are going in date order, now the date order she told me they were following in is the date they sent the upheld form out to us, mine was dated 23rd of August but I still have not received a response
can we follow a list so we can see if this is true. sort of like the other one earlier on in this forum. I will start
Date complianed: 20th May
Dated received upheld letter: 23rd August
Date received acceptance letter: 3rd September
Date received payment: Still waiting
Thankyou
I just received my 2nd and last chq, They received my acceptance 3rd Sept as stated above, they must be sorting through them all now. Good luck to all the rest of you still waiting hopefully you will receive yours soon, just keep on with those emails.0 -
Date claim made 02/06/11
Date received offer letter 30/08/11
Date Halifax received acceptance 03/09/11
Date received refund...still waiting.
Finally got fed up waiting after another fruitless call to Halifax yesterday. I decided to email the top to see if I could get anywhere.
Located Antonio Horta-Osorio's email address and emailed him to make plain my frustrations last night. The email was read approx 10 minutes after I sent it and lo and behold I have had a call today at 5.40pm from head office to say that they had received the email and will be calling me on Monday to discuss my complaint at a time convenient for me.
No idea if this will lead to any speeding up of the payment but at least it is one small step in the right direction after weeks of being stuck in the mire that is Halifax redress department.

Well I phoned halifax today. Telephone number on letter from claims handler wasn't a direct line. No further forward. No calculations have been done, they aren't allowed to give any times. Said there are no deadlines for psyment. I phoned FOS to see what they said and spoke to a most droll unhelpful young man. He basically agreed and said only alternative to waiting was to decline their offer and refer to FOS but would be at least 9 months. He was not very indterested at all.
So another weekend arrives and no nws for us:(:(

I was lucky enough to receive some refund of PPI from Barclaycard today, I am aware that I sent this acceptance back at the beginning of September and it was received at Barclaycard on the 9th.
Now I know this is a little off topic but it is a point worth noting that this was paid out before the last Halifax CC's I am awaiting and they were sent back two weeks before this one!!!!
When It comes to Halifax CC's they are so damn slow.....If when I speak to my case handler next time they are no further forward I they are going to get very short shrift from me!!!Money Saving-Reclaiming-And Won!!!:j:j:j:j:j
£33,000 refunded!!! :j:j:j:j:j0
