    My Claim Handler just called me, still no update, i am on week 7 of waiting now since they received my acceptence.

    I am not holding out for Christmas at all, she said that there is no timescale for waiting for calculations and the 8 weeks is not true!!!

    Well all i can say is bloody huirry up!! nothing else we can say, i have emailed CEO 3 times now and it has not made a blind bit of difference!!

    Melx

    When I spoke to the FOS very recently they (Tom) told me that the FOS 'expect' payments to be made within 8 to 10 weeks. If I were you I would call them to satisfy your curiosity.

    Good Luck.

    I am still waiting for 3 CC's aswell. Week 7 ends this week for me...:(:(:(

    But I have today spoken to a case handler who has raised my claims with the redress team by sending them a progress request. I actually have a letter stating that I should expect payment 30 days from the date of the letter. I am holding them to this and will not accept any further excuses. This time scale actually coincides with the 8 week wait aswell. So fingers crossed- (otherwise I will be reporting this to BBC Watchdog and anyone else who will help with exposing this unacceptable behaviour by the banks).

    Good luck, please post if you hear any good news, I will do the same....

    I received my cheque for my cc claim 2 weeks ago it didn't take long for that to come through which was good but it was only for £160.

    Thanks mel

    No problem,

    I am expecting considerably more than that on my CC's as one had a long balance of £17750 until I paid it off. The other two were nearly half of this aswell until they were cleared. Looking for a bumper payout before the 04/11/11.:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

    Must be why they are taking so lonnnnngggg!

    Bottle of single malt bought for the OH birthday tomorrow!!!

    :j:beer::beer::beer:

    Cheque on its way for £1178!!!! No idea whats going on with the ex, but I can hold out for that to be cleared up.

    Congratulations how long has it taken?? You OH will be very chuffed :)

    thanks mel
  • Seems to me they are having issue with the dates between 26th August and 3rd September, with the odd sprinkling of people waiting since June....in fact edit that, all of us !!

    ;)

    Hi Dizzee, congratulations to you and the others who have managed to get something out of halifax!! I have to agree with your comments above. Im stuck within these dates. A few e-mails to the ceo hasn't helped so far though we have got our handlers number so maybe it will come through soon. Getting sick of watching for the post every day :mad:

  • :TThanks guys and girls:T

    Lemonie, its taken from the 9th of May, in that time they have taken the full 16 weeks to acknowledge and uphold my claims. Then from that another seven weeks of me bullying them into submission to hand it over :rotfl:

    mary.....keep going, and do whatever you have to, to get it back. When you email them, tell them how disappointed you are, if you are in need of the money, tell them. The last one I wrote, I reminded them I'd been a customer since I was 14....possibly younger, I'm 34 now!

    It'll come, we'd almost thought it was never going to happen. My OH is very happy, as it now means he's seen evidence that people do get it back, so will now persue his PPI attached accounts. Hes quite proud really, as I've done the lot all by myself :)

    BTW.......Halifax is on watchdog tonight:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi Dizzie,

    WELL Done ON YOUR WIN!!

    I commenced my PPI reclaiming journey on the very same day as you 09/05/11 and am still awaiting 3 CC reclaims. Hopefully the end is in sight for me too.

    Fingers crossed- got a case handler to push it now as it's been getting no where fast recently. Looking at my last two weeks of waiting now and then it's off to publicise the poor customer service received as much as possible after that if I do not receive payment soon.!!

    Good luck everyone.

  • Oh I do hope you have some news soon, it seems we have been waiting such a long time, and fighting as hard as each other.
    My mother called the Hx this morning, as shes fed up now too. Her journey started four days after ours, and shes still at the calculations stage, not a dicky bird as far as figures for her!! It is a little complicated though.

    Hope you have a big fat cheque for the weekend :)
