I have received a PM from you but no e-mail address other than a series of exclamtion marks..don't know if you are trying to be funny, nasty or MSE have removed the e-mail address. Either way I'm not impressed.

No I am not trying to be funny, I quoted the email address MSE must have removed it.

I will try a different way his name is antonio.osorioatlloydsbanking.com

let me know if you got it this way?
  • MSE won't allow a CEO address to be sent. You have to send it 'code like'. If its antoniothingbob, I've got it.

Well Yodacat, how would you feel if you received an e-mail from someone who has been on MSE for a very short period of time and who sends a PM with an e-mail address and it would now transpire that MSE removed the e-mail address ( which I wasn't aware) and the e-mail address was a series of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, which is literally what it was.

I have since been told that MSE remove e-mail addresses, which i didn't know and I would suspect a few others didn't as well.

    Hi,

I got the address, thank you. I wasn't trying to be rude, but you've been on MSE for a nano second and I receive an e-mail filled with exclamation marks..sorry to appear to be rude, but we sometimes get smart people on here trying to kick you when you are down. Huge Apologies again and thank you for taking the time to PM me.

Good luck on your journey, it's a bumpy, fun filled one and everyone here is around to help, whether or not you want to hear what is said is another thing.

No worries, I understand. We are all frustrated with the bank as it is our money and not theres. To be honest is knew it wouldnt go through on the forum but I thought it would go through as it was a private message.

    Good luck in your email!!

I wonder if the Halifax is paying the added interest on the claims, given the length of time they are taking to pay out???

If they are, then perhaps we should all stay quiet, given that we are all getting 8% interest......

Halifax received my acceptance form back on 3rd September after a while I got fed up of waiting so emailed ceo 04.10.2011 I received a letter 2 days later saying same old things cannot give timescales, so after a few days I emailed again and then I got a phone call on 15.10.2011. She said she would call me if any new, but still no phone call so I phoned this morning and finally I got a result, they have sent my calculations in the post and the chq will follow. So I think it is worth sending an email and keep sending every couple of days till you get a result.

Further to my email yesterday to CEO just received a call at work (good job the boss was out!). anyway no further forward just lots of apologies and usual stuff about sheer volume of work etc. However at least I now have a direct line (instead of going through expensive number) and a name of my claim handler. she told me to ring her every week if i want and as soon as she receives the calculations she will be able to read the contents out to me. Not much progress but made me feel a bit better. I did ask her honestly if she thought it would be dealt with by xmas and she said she couldnt say as if it then wasnt she would be in trouble for saying it would be. Also asked her for FOS guidance on timescales for completing claims. When I said i was told that there were none last week she kinda mentioned that they do have an 8 week timescale for payment but she expects the FOS will be increasing this shortly. She could have been making that up though although she seemed very nice.

Original complaint received by Halifax - 2 Jun
    Uphold letter dated 27 August
Acceptance sent back 3 Sept by recorded delivery. didnt arrive so faxed copy on 9 sept. Both acceptances for same claim scanned onto system on 16 Sept

    C.x
Meant to say - i asked about them going in date order and she said they were!! but that if you complaint was for a loan or CC from the 80's then they would need to get documents from archive and that is what is taking the time so if a handler is working on something like that and there are say 3 or 4 claims for that person it is holding everyone elses claims up. Personally when I am waiting for a document at work to complete a task I put it to one side and start the next thing on my list until it comes in. I dont just sit twiddling my thumbs (although the lady assured me they arent sitting twiddling their thumbs).
