I totally agree with you we received our acceptance on the 26/8 and sent it back same day 1st class recorded, they say they didnt get it till the 3/9 I think we have waited long enough, I know people who havent waited as long. Get your finger out Halifax:mad:maryspecial wrote: »patience is finally running out. Got oh to phone up today, again! Only the second call since claim went in in may. As we returned our acceptance at the same time as others in this thread who have received payment this week we are getting really impatient. Got nowhere with phonecall. Basically said cant give any timescale for payment, usual story, they are working on it, overtime, weekends yada yada yada. Great if you're working so hard then where's our money.:mad::mad:0 -
Rang for my weekly update , was told still no figures they are dealing with complaints made in May mine was recieved on the 18th May so it shouldnt be much longer ...yeah right :-( it seems like they are just plucking names from a bag and woo hoo those people are lucky enought to get a payment, I was told the usual staff or working overtime blah blah blah ...0

I'll post the breakdown when I receive my letter in the next few days, but in round figures I have been offered £3900 for my loans and £3,400 forr my credit card.
So basically £7,300 in total.
I'm happy with the loan figures, but not happy the APR interest on the card.
They have told me that if I want to dispute it, I am welcome to, but I will go to the back of the queue.
I think I will ring the ombudsman on Monday and ask them if this fails their TCF remit or not, and I may even put in a separate complaint saying that I accept their payment as part payment of my redress whilst they look into doing it properly.I'm a secret crime fighter

The way they put it to me, on the acceptance letter months ago, was that my credit card, was a preference account, and didn't attract interest.....however there was interest paid to me.
It went as follows
refund of premiums £407.50
Refund of interest applied to account because of PPI £215.15
Interest at 8%, calculated to 25th October £22.73
total £645.38.
I was a bit puzzled, as one said no, and the other said yay. I've cashed the cheque now, as I needed the money in the bank, plus I only have a few statements left, as we shredded loads last year, so have nothing to compare the calculations with
No idea how they came to the total, nor indeed if they have done it wrong and have fleeced me of something somewhere. The balance of the card was always to the max, it wasn't a massive limit compared to most, and I had it running like that for several years before I got rid. 0 -
Can somebody please pm the Halifax CEO email adress , so i can start putting the pressure on . Thanks :-)0

Hello,
Put in my complaint for mis-selling on a Halifax CC on 6th May. Received a letter on the 17th August saying claim had been upheld and I would receive a cheque for £2705.51 in 28 days.
28 days came and went, I rang them once and returned from holiday today to find cheque waiting. A little bit late, but thankyou to everyone for their help and support.
and Good Luck !!

Upheld letter dated 27 Aug 11.
Sent acceptance form back by recorded delivery. Only got to them on 16th Sept!! In the meantime had faxed another copy to them on 9 Sept. When I rang sometime after 16th Sept i was told that they had both of them scanned onto the computer as at 16th. When i told them that i had faxed them on 9th sept and had transmission report they said that it had probably been sitting in a pile waiting to be scanned onto computer!! not very good service.
Just rang them 10 mins ago to be told that systems are down (how convenient) but that i should ring tomorrow between 8am and 6pm. Will update you all once I have done that. Must say that the girl I just spoke to was much more pleasant than when I have previously rang.
