I would send them to both. MBNA will not refund any charges that were from when RBS had the card.

  • Has anyone tred to claim unpaid fees back from these? If so how did you get on?. I sent the first letter last week whch they received on 26th. They still have 7 days to respond before I send 2nd letter but was just wondering if anyone else tried wth them?

    Thanks
  • Just merged these threads but as it seems Virgin comes under the "umbrella" of MBNA, I'll also find that thread.
  • Well its now been 7 days since MBNA received my letter requesting a list of charges made to my account . No news as yet but hopefully no news is good news
  • I sent 1st letter to Virgin One last week and am awaiting a reply.

I have sent letters requesting statements to Choice Catalogue, MBNA, Barclaycard, GE Money ( New Look and Kwik Fit Storecards) and Alliance & Leicester today.

Any successes or probs with any of these companies would be greatly appreciated.
  • I Currently Have An Account With Mbna Credit Cards And I'm Trying To Claim Back My Charges I Was Just Wondering If Anyone Could Help Me Clear This Up.

Basically I Sent O Ff The First And Second Letter, Mbna Sent Me A Letter Telling Me That They Have Credited My Account With £700 Of The £1641.00, I Wasn't Made An Offer They Just Credited The Account With The Amount And Said That It Was Full And Final Settlement, Could Someone Please Tell Me What I Need To Do Next.

Do I Need To Write And Tell Them That I Don't Accept The Amount Or Do I Take That And Claim The Rest Using The Small Claims Court Option.

I Don't Want To Accept Their Offer As It Wasn't Really An Offer It Was More Of This Is What Your Getting And Like It.

I Really Want To Go All The Way With This And I'm Not Sure How To Continue, Any Help Would Be Much Appreciated.

    Thanks
    Maureen

    Write back and say...............

I cannot accept your offer of £700 as full and final settlement of my claim. I will accept this as a part offer and without prejudice, but I will be contuing my claim for the balance.

Then just carry on with your claim as normal.

  • I agree with Rex , don't let them fob you off . £700 is a lot of money but no where near what youre claiming .
Stick to your guns and send them another letter
  • hi thanks for all your advice i wasn't really sure what to do and your advice has been really helpful
