oh, and I make a low-fat dressing - plain yoghurt, tsp of dijon mustard, tsp of mayo all mixed up with salt and pepper - brilliant with parsley over pastas or cold salad pots
you could also grate cheese/cucumber and mint into it and have it has a dip with veg/breadsticks/crackers etc.
  • make a marinade for chicken , I made a curry style one ,if you google yoghurt marinade there are loads odideas

I have frozen it before successfully in an ice cube tray. Then Pop into a bag once done. If you have a curry that asks for 2 tbsps - I think that's one ice cube roughly (but would have to check) but does the job!

    Hi all,
I had a delivery yesterday and ordered some natural yoghurt to use as a marinade (doing chicken skewers tonight). The pot is huge! Any links, recipes or ideas to use this up over the weekend? I hate to waste anything.
We don't like yoghurt on its own so having it like that is out!
    Thank you

Use it as part of the topping for Moussaka (mixed with a beaten egg & parmesan for the top).
