Just wondering who was actually swimming with the kids and where did they change, most pools say one adult can supervise up to two children up to eight years old.0

If you are this tactful in real life it is no wonder she did not take your request to leave seriously.
What did you actually say, verbatim?
'excuse me, this is the mens changing rooms. the womens are next door'
then a bit louder. then i walked over and said 'did you hear me? this is the mens changing room. you need to leave.' then she stood their gawping and finally said they were using the pool, so i told her where the pool changing rooms were. and she ignored me but stayed standing at the walls edge.
i dont know about you but i dont appreciate having an audience when im showering, especially when im knackered.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

the kids were all swimming but she didnt get changed. theres lifeguards on at all times though. theyd have to walk through the pool changing rooms to get to the pool anyway, so dont know why she refused to go in their.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I used to have the same problem when I took my kids swimming. (girls)
I could imagine all the posters on here being happy if I stood watching them ( and their children) taking a shower.
Common sense prevailed, I used the unisex disabled shower and changing room, after asking the staff.
At that age though, they looked after each other.

So what age do you think it's ok to take boys into the girls showers to.
Because my daughter is tempted to rip the b*lls off the next one watching her in a changing room getting dressed.0 -
            So, if I've understood correctly:
- the leisure centre has several types of changing room. One for outdoor sports, one for gym users, and one for pool users.
- no idea what the set up is for the outdoor sports changing room.
- the gym changing rooms are the "all boys together"/"all girls together" type, where there is one room for everyone to get changed, and one open shower area. Those who are comfortable about being nude in the company of the same gender will shower and change freely. Those who are less comfortable about being nude in the company of the same gender will contort themselves under a towel.
- the pool changing rooms have cubicles. So families, groups of mixed ages and genders, and those who are shy can get showered and changed without having to be nude in front of anyone else.
- the woman in this story chose to use the gym changing rooms to monitor the boys she was looking after. That meant that every male in the male changing rooms might be nude in the presence of a woman they didn't know. That might include teenagers and young boys. If she wasn't related to all of the boys in her group, then some of them might not be comfortable about being nude in front of her.
- the group of boys were going swimming, so it would have made more sense for them to go to the pool changing rooms.
Looking at those facts, I think the woman was completely in the wrong.0 -

I think that is quite aggressive. And doesn't help her if she is concerned about taking boys of that age into a naked lady area.
So the message I would take from that is "you are wrong and I think you are stupid." You also haven't explained there are mixed or cubicle areas, just that "this belongs to the men." Very territorial. There isn't actually any useful information in what you said.
I wouldn't co-operate with you. I'd feel awkward, but I wouldn't want to do anything to make you happy, and you haven't told me there is a mixed area. I'm still between a rock and a hard place.
A different approach would be, "Hi, look, we tend not to be comfortable having women in the men's communal area. I can see you have your hands full there with the boys - did you know there is a mixed area with cubicals just over there? Do you need a hand herding the guys over?" a) I know there is a better alternative b) you're helping not stomoing your feet at me c) you may even be smiling. I'd move.

so this woman takes a bunch of 7/8 year olds to the pool but doesn't actually go in the pool with them - I hope they are very good swimmers, I certainly wouldn't do that
I can't really see any (acceptable) reason for her to accompany them to the men's showers. She leaves them alone in a swimming pool, but has to accompany them to the showers? Very odd.
The '!!!!!phile' excuse doesn't make sense as she is still exposing them to any men in the changing room.
Did she remain in the changing rooms while they got dressed?0 -

Do you think you would be at your best if you were naked, having to chat away to a man watching you take a shower in the womens changing room?
Or instead just a bit put out?
She's lucky someone didn't get their mobile and phone the police.0 -

Well, now, I think you are exaggerating a bit to make an invalid point there, I'd say. There's been no suggestion so far that the woman was "watching", just that she was supervising the boys.
I think the OP has demonstrated consistently in his posts in this thread that he can act in an intolerant and aggressive way, and I am not surprised he didn't get a positive reaction.
I also think it's a storm in a tea cup and there are more important things to worry about.
Replies to this thread suggest there is no universally right or wrong answer here. Opinions differ, and that's fine.Debt free 4th April 2007.
