i wasnt sure where to put this but this is the family board so will probably get responses from mums and dads which will help.
bit of a weird experience this morning in the changing room. a woman walked into the mens changing room with five boys (maybe 7/8ish) and refused to leave. would other mums think thats acceptable?

'theres nothing we can do' i asked if theyd say the same if a man had walked into the womans changing room and she had no answer to that.
what annoys me though is this was the gym changing room, not the pool one. the pool one is set up with all different cubicles, but you have to pay for lockers in that one.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. if there are five of them and they are 8 I would take them to the ladies or leave them to look after each other in the gents.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Maybe she didn't want 7/8 year old boys staring at the women in the female changing room? =\ Not quite sure what is worse personally.0

I dont see the problem, if there were no men in there, all the boys could be showered and dressed in a matter of minutes. If the men didnt want to go in when there was a woman present then they could just wait.
If i was showering in the ladies, there s no way i would want young boys wandering in.
I cant see the boys being best pleased about it all either
Anniemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

she couldve used the pool changing rooms though. which was the first thing i pointed out to her. she had no control over any of them either. in hindsight i shouldve called her a perve loudly and to all who would listen.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. double standards? why should i have had to wait (note: i was already in the shower when her herd thundered in) because she didnt want to pay for a locker and use the pool changing rooms.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If they are old enough to be at school then they are old enough (especially in a pack) to dry themselves and get dressed without a parents assistance. Especially as presumably they are not all her children...
As a female, I wouldnt want a guy with a load of girls in my changing room and I dont see it as being something I would do the other way round either... I do not understand why parents insist on babying perfectly capable children.Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -
Surely the adult is responsible for the supervision of the children. This should've been picked up on before she took her group in with her.
It's certainly not acceptable for the woman to go into the men's changing room, any more than it would be for a dad to take his young daughters into the women's changing room. If an adult has to be present with the children at all times - especially given the perceived vulnerability of any adult in that situation around children - then it is probably *more* acceptable for the children to accompany the woman than vice versa.0
