I'm sorry to hear it. This is not acceptable behaviour and she should've used a locker. It wouldn't be tolerated for a man, it shoudn't been for a woman.
  • IMO it's less inappropriate for young children (and to me 7/8 are still young - there's no way my 7 year old would be left herself to get changed and likely she'd be worse with pals) to be in the 'wrong' changing room than it is for an adult. If they couldn't be left then she should have taken them into the ladies. I'd go nuts if a man came into the female showers, but wouldn't bother about a few kiddies.
  • As long as you don't see her/other women in there every week, then I don't see the problem. She did what she thought was best at the time and it's likely to be a one off. She may not have known there were group changing rooms at the centre and once they were all in the gents, she may have felt it a hassle to move all 5 boys when you pointed out there were in fact group areas available. I wouldn't be annoyed enough about it to post about it on here to be honest.

If they are old enough to be at school then they are old enough (especially in a pack) to dry themselves and get dressed without a parents assistance. Especially as presumably they are not all her children...

As a female, I wouldnt want a guy with a load of girls in my changing room and I dont see it as being something I would do the other way round either... I do not understand why parents insist on babying perfectly capable children.

I think at this age they should definitely be able to change without their mother's help. I'd be furious if a man walked into a female changing room, with a group of girls or without...

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.
  • Maybe she didnt have a £1 coin for the lockers? I dont understand though why she / they used the gym changing rooms if they went swimming anyway? If this was the case for me I would have told them all to get dressed and have a shower at home. What do the boys do at school? I bet they dont have a teacher (male or female) accompany them there. I would write a complaint to the leisure centre and perhaps the local paper to open a debate!
Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

I don't think he was complaining as such, if the opposite occured I'm sure there would be hell to pay, what are the users of the changing rooms to do? Hide themselves until the woman goes? In case she feels offended by seeing naked blokes.

one user said i should wait until the woman had finished, even though she was in the mens changing room! feminism is lost on those kinds of morons i think!

  • How paranoid are people? I don't think she did anything wrong tbh. Personally i'd have taken them into the ladies but at the same time i wouldn't have been fussed if a man came into the ladies with 5 girls, i'd understand he didn't want them all getting dressed in front of a load of blokes who could potentially feel v.uncomfortable with that.

Don't these changing rooms have any individual cubicles within the changing rooms?

Our leisure centre changing rooms are unisex now anyway, saves the hassle of all this.

the pool changing rooms do. the gym ones dont. theyre just one room, with showers on one side and lockers and benches on the other. if you cant see whats wrong with that then the problem is with you.

.. or people have different values to you. Which does not make them wrong or invalid, just different. Certainly not a "problem."

You wanted opinions, you got a range of opinions, some agreeing, some differing.

More importantly what, if anything, are you going to do about it?

And there you have lost the arguement

First the woman is a perve

Then shes to be ridiculed because of size

Now any woman who has any thing to say that you dont agree with is a moron

BTW I didnt get the suki dig - care to expand?
