public gym showers

If they are old enough to be at school then they are old enough (especially in a pack) to dry themselves and get dressed without a parents assistance. Especially as presumably they are not all her children...
As a female, I wouldnt want a guy with a load of girls in my changing room and I dont see it as being something I would do the other way round either... I do not understand why parents insist on babying perfectly capable children.
The leisure centre near me has a big sign up saying "No children under the age of 10years should be unaccompanied in the changing and showering areas"
If this was the case, she is between a rock and hard place. If she goes into the ladies, the boys cop an eye full. If she goes into the mens, she cops an eye full ....... maybe she wanted to cop an eye full.... or maybe she was in charge of other peoples kids and didnt want them going home to parents saying " i saw loads of boobies and other lady bits when i went to the pool with Mrs So & So...."
As i said. Rock and hard place!Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

In that case she should have used the pool changing rooms and paid for the cubicles.... especially when someone voiced their displeasure at her presence - I'd have been mortified
I dont believe in this day and age that these leisure centres havent thought that mixed sex groups will use the facilities and made provisions.

not really. as i said she couldve forked out the £1 to use a locker in the pool changing rooms which have cubicles and arent open. instead she herded them all into the mens gym changing room. which is just basically one room with a dividing wall, on one side, open showers and the other benches and lockers. she stood at the opening for the showers while they were all messing about.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. theres a few different changing rooms. its quite a big place. there are changing rooms for the gym, then one big one for the pool which is full of cubicles, and then two for the outside stuff for five a side and stuff.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. OP are you angry about the £1.00 or just the fact that she came in the men's changing area? You keep talking about the free lockers so I'm not sure.
im annoyed that someone thought it was ok to walk into a very small changing/shower area for the opposite sex and stand around when their are other suitable places available. im more annoyed that the taxpayer funded staff said there was nothing they could do. if a man had done that hed have been arrested, so why not her?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Why didn't you ask her to leave or even say you would watch over the children for her. (Then again it's not your responsibility).
Is it a private gym or a council funded gym? I am guessing the latter as I have noticed in some pay as you go gyms the staff done give two hoots.
Sorry to hear you were not pleased about the situation but what are you going to do so this doesn't happen again?
when you were reading the thread and making snarky comments about me being bothered about £1 lockers, did you bother to read the rest of it? all your answers are there.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. bit of a weird experience this morning in the changing room. a woman walked into the mens changing room with five boys (maybe 7/8ish) and refused to leave. would other mums think thats acceptable?
No, I don't think that's appropriate.
I also don't think it would be appropriate to take them all in to the ladies changing room either.
There are normally family rooms available if the boys needed supervising, but at that age I really think most children should be responsible and capable enough to change (5 mins max?) without an adult present. Kids learn to be responsible by being trusted to be so IMO.0
