New Talktalk poll; feedback needed, good and bad

Salesperson at my door today claiming that TalkTalk own all the fixed lines in my home area - bu****it. Free broadband mentioned. Opened conversation with - Do you know about the new telephone exchange? I wonder what planet they are on as there is no new telephone exchange currently planned for this area. Also knew nothing re cold sales calls and the requirement to remove names from databases when requested to do so. An absolute plonker. This is despite all TalkTalks promises to OFCOM to sort out their business - just like politicians - say what they think will pacify people then continue with their sneaky and underhand business.:mad:

Received a letter from TalkTalk this week stating that they were pleased to let me know that they would be moving my Pipex account onto the Talktalk billing system from 7th November 2011.
They then informed me my line rental would be going up from £9.99 including vat to £13.80 from 4th December 2011 plus charging £1.90 for a paper bill etc. I never wanted a paper bill but was never given the option and Pipex did not charge extra. Only need the phone line for sky tv so guess what???? I've applied to switch telephone companies today!!

I've tried to join the TalkTalk members forum to discuss my problem with your letter about paper billing - you say my Pipex email address is invalid ! - but can't register there because I only have a Pipex account number. I don't want to pay 5p/minute to talk to your support people but you don't seem to be able to sort this out by email.

If you service has not yet migrated from Pipex to TalkTalk then you would not be able to join the Members forum as an active TT account is required.

Piror to migration completeing you will need to cotninue to use the Pipex contact details. If the line is proosed to be migrated to TT Business then you would not be able to use the TT Members Forum for support. This is becasue TT Business accounts are managed by a specialist department within TT Group.

I am?/was ? a Tiscali customer what a b--ls up it's been .I do not know what package i'm on. There's obviously many problems with Talktalk 's email system at the moment ,mine included, thats why i do not use it. There call centre is a waste of time . I was miss sold a Talktalk package at the door and blatently lied too .I sent a letter of complaint and was contacted by phone but never recieved a letter confirming what the caller said confirming that i was lied to.I have trouble logging into my account to view my bill.Why am i still with them ???????????????????.I've been told by letter that the local exchange has just been updated and i will be paying less for my package but can't find out how much.!

I cannot stress enough how poor talktalk are from start to finish.

I moved in with my partner into a home owned by her grandfather. Due to his ill health he is now in care. We signed a transfer of owndership document 8 months ago and talktalk never processed it.

Going round and round in circles trying to get the account in my name but talktalk just refuse. They won't discuss the account with me as the data protection act stops them as i am not the account holder. BUT I'M TRYING TO BE YOU IDIOTS!

They ask me to get him to contact them i say not possible. So we both hang up on each other. I've had free phone and broadband for 6 months because they won't change the account and i'm not paying till they do (which i will do once in my name)

AVOID TALK TALK AT ALL COSTS PEOPLE. i wish i could go back to sky

As advised previously if customer wish to have any issues investigate they are welcome to join the TalkTalk Members Forum. All Ex-Tiscali customers have been migrated to TT systems so wil be able to join.

Had a call from Talk Talk sales but I made it clear I need a reliable service (BB & phone) which from family and friends they can't offer!

Alternatively if you submit a Contact Us form via the Members Forum we can arrange this for you.
