  • Trundled back earlier from my fastest ever 3k - knocking 1min 20 off my previous best - and weighed in again at a rather splendid 22stone 13. If I can get through the weekend without tipping back over the 23 stone mark it'll be a real achievement. Today will have some moneysaving too - in the old days if I was getting into work early due to my kids being off then I would stop off at the McDonalds drivethru just by my work and get a double Bacon mcmuffin meal and a double Sausage one with two large coffees, take it all to my desk and chomp merrily for a few minutes gaining a few hundred calories and spending 7quid I didn't need to spend. Now I take an empty plastic bottle that I fill up with cold water in the canteen. Had promised the family I'd get them kebabs tonight but with them being sick they better stick to the copious amounts of tinned soup we have....
  • Flippin eck, I thought I was up early this morning (owl hooting unhelpfully outside my bedroom window at silly o'clock...in the middle of a city as well, weird...)

You've put me right in the mood for a cheeky M*Muffin naughty Mr B!! Scrumptious but allowed only as a rare treat...yum yum...Cracking news on weight loss front, you shall have to choose yourself a new name if this progress continues;)

I love the idea of rudeness getting you out of meetings...I might see if it works on my Mother-in-Law :D:D:D

Talk about under-estimation of your calorie intake but both of those meals would add up to over a thousand calories depending on what you had with them such as hash browns.

Hope you dont go down with the tummy bug and hope your family recovers quickly x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • I have only read upto page 6 of your diary so far, but it is so addictive. I came across your diary by chance as I don't usually read them, but I have subscribed to it and will be following your progress. You are a real inspiration and I wish I could be as positive about my challanges.:T

I found the best thing to stop me being tempted by McD's was to watch Morgan Spurlock's Supersize Me, if that doesn't put you off nothing will _pale_

    Hope the poorlies recover quickly.

  • Well, as cost cutting exercise I decide to bake chocolate cup cakes yesterday instead of buying them. Trouble is now they are in the house I am eating them so soon I shall be a Bloater too ! Will have to hit the gym extra hard tonight (joining my gym was cheaper than paying individually for swimming each week as they had a special offer on)
Also applied on line for some extra work as data inputting from home - not too sure what it entails but it would fit in perfectly and the extra money will help pay these CC off. Anyone have any other extra job ideas?

Betsie, take a look at the "up your income" board on MSE....lots of ideas there - some workable, some not so....but if you keep dipping into that board you are bound to find some things to suit from time to time.

Also, joining the "Make £10 a day challenge" (not sure if on the main DFW board, or the diary board) but that is always having ideas for extra £££ even without necessarily having a formal extra "job".
