Well done of resisiting the McD's breakfast MrB - problem is now I really want one! :D

  • Hi Mr B
I love this thread, and like everyone else enjoy your sense of humour too. Reading how you are going out for a run at 4.30am has really inspired me to get going:T.

I am also very overweight and need to lose about 6 stone. I am going to follow your example and get out for a run today come rain or shine - here in Scotland it's most likely to be the latter! My current weight is 14.13. Will keep you posted as to how I get on.

  • Well Mr B - am really glad you are sticking with the diary.

there have been times when Ive thought I had no time for it, in reality it helps me focus my time. In the same way I would write things down to remember them, typing them up into a blog I can look back on and take praise, support and brilliant advice from people who know how it is, is priceless.

Mind you, I admire you on the McDonalds front, but I cant remember the last time I had one. One thing I will say is please, treat yourself now and again. A bottle of wine at a weekend. Life is about balance, not punishing schedules!
    Trying to shift that debt!

Is this diary populated by Insomniacs?

I have had a job rejection this morning. They spent a couple of hours trying to decide between me and another candidate both of whom they felt could walk into the job and just do it. They decided on them provided their references come through and nothing happens to them. Wonder how easy it is to hack into personnel and hire a JCB?

Have successfully done my verbal test for interview next week. The numerical test is kind of ' If last years TV advertising budget is 50% of this years radio advertising, how much is this years web advertising budget per week?'

Hence my head hurts:mad:. Going to go and get some psychometric testing books from careers, do a bit of practice and then have another go on Sunday after 2 coffee's and 20% of Cadbury's annual production of Wispa's for their York factory less the weight of the wrapper (Chocolate's supposed to help isn't it!) How about a frontal lobotomy?

Sorry Mr B. I'll just take over your thread with my joy for the day.

An idea that might help. I had it suggested to me by a friend who trains frequently, buy yourself an exercise book and use it to record your exercise. That way you will be able to see an improvement in your time and/or distance. I have just started it for myself and use it to record that I am actually increasing the distance I am covering.
Also using the same process to record everything I spend. I am better when I can actually see it written down and writing it does focus the mind.
Anyway, hope your day has been better.

I found the best thing to stop me being tempted by McD's was to watch Morgan Spurlock's Supersize Me, if that doesn't put you off nothing will _pale_

    Hope the poorlies recover quickly.

Best thing to stop me eating - well I have never had one so that should be never eat one - is to have an OH who worked in wood sceince research for a while and a colleague did some reseach for the fast food industry looking at cellulose that goes in shakes - cellulose AKA wood pulp - bleurgh

An ex told me they put cotton in the shakes that's why they're so thick.
