And, in further shock news I have taken the advice given to me countless times on here and actually set up a DD to take the minimum payment out each month. Perhaps some pennies are finally starting to drop.
Hurray :j:j
Goes without saying that the free listing weekend came and went without any action
I missed it too but find that unless you are listing something with a very high starting price what you save can actually be added into your start price so you can list at a time convenient to you!

What ever I make on e bay/surveys must be paid straight off the debt. The price of coffee and cake off the CC . ANYTHING to get me out of the I am !!!! cos I am in debt headspace.
Which reminds me I must go and find the payment a day thread....
A really good thread and a method of pushing down the debts without too much effort. I didnt believe it would make a difference until I tried it

Yesterday's 5k trundle was followed up with a 7.1k plod just now - but alarmingly my weight has shot up almost half a stone. Still, this gives me something other than money to worry about. My extra jobs start soon which should mean that hopefully by the end of July we are less pinched, and then with the payrise / reduced childcare costs in September and a loan ending in October we will be out of the darkness. It appears the sunshine is trying to emerge, could certainly do with the clouds being lifted.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Eleven days between posts - and even now I haven't got much to say other than we haven't just fallen off the wagon - we've tipped it up, set the thing on fire and are now dancing around it. There's been a couple of big party weekends for which we have paid the price both monetarily and physically, and drinking in the evening is seeming eminently more preferable to running in the morning. My two extra jobs are kicking in at the moment so I have some long days ahead of me but this will lead to next month's pay being a little chubbier, but myself and Mrs B need to get back on the path of righteousness. I'm also getting a sense of twitchiness and discontent in my main job which is not so good. Hopefully a run on Saturday will clear the cobwebs. Hope everyone else is having a better time sticking to their guns.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

I sometimes find with weight that I'm on a two week delay. I can stuff myself silly (something that happens all too regularly, despite me knowing I shouldn't even put something in the shopping basket!) and if I weigh myself, then I'm what I usually am and I smugly think that I can get away with said stuffing. Of course, two weeks later on, when I'm back eating normally, my clothes start feeling really snug and I'm like "where did all this weight come from?". I then have to cast my mind back and its like "oh, yeah - I didn't get away with it, did I?"
Keep plodding on. You are getting closer to your goal.0 -
Yeah well. Quick blip. Nothing to get too worried about. In your last post you listed all the reasons for optimism. Perhaps you've been enjoying those good times before they've arrived. My weight's gone up too and my moneypayingoffindebtedness seems to have ground to a halt. It is incredibly demoralising and all too easy to just say s*d it and quit and go back to square one because it's all just too hard :P
I feel your pain Mr B. However, I have a new granddaughter to coo over. Makes me realise there is someone else on this planet other than me (isn't that what gluttony and avarice is? A kind of me me me???). Mind, I still look flipping dreadful on those photo's.......:DDEBT LBM-3.10.2011Total debt-6800  09.09.13-zero

Ten days since my last post, and this morning is the first time I've bothered going out for a run since the first day of the month. And only managed a sodden derisory 2.1km. Have reached the conclusion that running is great for when getting healthy is my number one priority, but it's among the worst things to do when trying to blot out terrible things as it just gives me more room to think and dwell. Hence there has been some very justified drinking of lager going on this week - combination of events ranging from a real tragedy in the truest definition of the word where I knew the person involved well to more annoying things like stuff at work not going exactly how I wanted it to, coupled with the extra pressures of the additional jobs I have taken on for this month. It's all kind of crowding in on me still, but come the first weekend of July the pressure should have lifted somewhat. There's a definite lack of humourous stuff happening, and just to compound things I am off to weigh myself. This is not going to be pretty.
Actually wasn't that bad - a kilo up in three weeks where I have paid no heed whatsoever to healthy principles. And as for the debt - it's basically a question of keeping the foot on the accelerator until September and hoping we don't run out of gas til then. We might have to run a few reds and do some swerving but I am confident we will get there in one piece.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
