I've been thinking of taking-up running. Trouble is, I'm a better thinker than runner. Good luck decluttering. I'm on a week's holiday and will be clearing stuff via a bootsale.Never Knowingly Understood.

My mate can hoard with the best of them. Mind you, he is now in 'declutter' mode since he (thanks to his new(ish) partner) realized that his hoarding began after his ex walked out on him and their 2 boys nearly 20 years back.
Right, off to update my own diary.Never Knowingly Understood.

Bipolar times in the world of Bloater this week - Monday's sunshine and eternal optimism was replaced throughout the week with a nagging doubt that grew to a gnawing dread. Everything seemed to be going wrong - culminating in me scraping the side of my car and another whilst desperately looking for a parking spot on my late way to work. Entirely my fault and have exchanged details and waiting for her to get a quote to get it tidied up. Took photos of the damage to hers myself so that I can also get quotes if hers come back a little on the high side - but I am imagining that it will likely be cheaper in the long run not to involve my insurance company. Thursday night I hit rock bottom but didn't delve into any solace (in fact it has been an entirely dry week) but addressed a few of the issues that have been nagging me at work, and hey presto - yesterday I was full of beans and back on form.
Did the training materials for Job 2, and have been looking at the logistics for Job 3 - will involve a day in Manchester which also happens to be my boy's birthday - however, needs must and I think I have to bite the bullet - these 2 'little' jobs could add up to £1500 to the pot over the summer and then lead to repeat business at various times over the year.
And tomorrow is going to be a BIG listing day - have to take advantage of the free listing weekend and put up some of the big guns for a 10 day soak - because then they can be posted off during the half term week. Can't afford to let this one slip by.
And as it's almost 4.40, it's time for me to don my running attire and do another 5k.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Glad you got through it Mr B, hope you enjoyed the run :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Chin up MrB. I had 2 trial days with an engineering company this week (luckily I am on holiday), but nothing came of it. Back to the stressful carp on Monday as usual. Still, will get 2 paypackets next week so this will batter down my o/d.Never Knowingly Understood.

Having my first drink since the Bank Holiday - I have been a very good (dull) boy. Things have been trundling along OK but I have opened myself up to the wisdom of folk on other parts of this forum tonight because....
a) got phonecall from Ombudsman saying the Interim Adjudicator had found in favour of the bank (boo!)
b) got text from driver of car I was involved in a minor scrape with last week saying she had a quote for £275 to repair the damage - so I think I might have to do it through the insurance (hiss!)
In brighter news, Jobs 2 and 3 are all good to go and should see me being incredibly busy in June but up to £1500 quid richer by the end of it - and will hopefully lead to repeat work at other points of the year - thus forming the first part of my big old safety net plan.
Didn't get around to listing the ebay goodies again - it would have been a poxy way to end the weekend, but hopefully another freebie one will come along soon.
Am fitting into clothes that I have been too portly to wear for the last four years so that's pretty cool - thankfully I go for the timeless approach to fashion - pretty much everything I own is a checked Ben Sherman shirt so nobody knows whether they are brand new or aeons old.
Am thinking in the grand scheme of things I might have to take some rough with the recent smooth - there will be no big PPI payout, and one way or another I am going to pay for this scrape - whether it be in cold hard cash or increased premiums.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
