Evening all. Have had a run of luck that I have to remember when the bad times rear their little faces again. If this little lot sounds like gloating then I apologise, and kindly ask you to get the f off reading my posts. I'm a Bloater, not a Gloater.

    - Mrs B got her pay rise (kinda expected but forgotten about) and got it backdated (totally unexpected).
    - A big bill we thought was coming in September (the last of the bad months) has just revealed itself to be payable from November - and in monthly instalments rather than the lumpen foe we thought we would be dealing with.
    - Signed my new contract for September - it is exactly as promised, the salary level, job title and general vibe to it have pushed my career self-esteem up to all time highs.
    - Got the preliminary paperwork through for my second job - just have to do an online assessment and then things should get moving on that come June time.
    - And a few other things I have probably forgotten about - oh yeah, even managed to sell two of the unsellable records left in my collection.
    - Most importantly, Mrs B and I are working together as a team brilliantly and the little Bloaters are being pretty darn cool.

I have taken my website down and removed my books from Kindle - it was not working and didn't fit in with the way things are going - time to concentrate on the paid career rather than the distractions - this diary will remain the only writing I do these days.

And I'm really hoping to be able to report a run here sometime over the weekend. I am itching to go out. Hope everyone has a decent weekend.

Sorry to hear that. I can understand removing the website as they require work to keep them current, but you've nothing to lose by leaving the books on Kindle Publishing as it requires no further effort and may provide a small occasional payment. My first couple of attempts at ebook publishing have had no promotion or attention since December and I still sell an occasional copy (one of them has generated 3 quid this month).

One trundle doesn't make a runner - but one'll do for now. Just got back from pounding 1.8k of the capital's meanest southeastern streets. To ensure that I had no excuses this morning I slept downstairs in an armchair with my tracksuit and trainers in a bag by my feet thus ensuring the minute I got up I was reminded of my calling. Little Bloaters appear to have hidden the earphones for my phone and the backup mp3 player and earphones that exists solely for the occasions when the Little Bloaters have hidden the aforementioned so it was a tuneless trundle through the darklands. But I'm back in the saddle and determined to do at least 2.5k tomorrow.

Back in the saddle in more than one way Mr B - great stuff :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
