Agree with what everyone above says but Mr B I have to thank you for making me really laugh out loud.
Trousers from the fat man shop !!!
Really tickled me and put a smile on my face.
Won't be long before you are frequenting the trim and fit man shop at the rate you are going.
Good luck with the job and all your other challenges.

(does the walk of shame back into the thread).
Sorry to report we were less than MSE yesterday. After dropping our guest back at the airport we went shopping and somehow managed to get it for doube figures - the strength I showed not getting any goodies whatsoever was an encouraging sign. And then, in a few short minutes, the wheels came off - I discovered that the cheese we already had in the fridge was the wrong sort, I then discovered that my beloved Seagulls were the live match on ITV, and that bloody hell - the whole family deserved to unwind even if it was just for an afternoon. A quick trip to the supermarket later and we were cheesed, chocolated, wined and beered up (all for under 20 I hasten to add) and spent an enjoyable afternoon watching footie and/or awful girlie movies and BREATHING. Just to top things off nicely we ordered a curry to be delivered and it was spectacular. So there has been no running yesterday, or today - and no steps towards my targets other than the one of keeping sane. Today I have to get my stuff together ready for the new job tomorrow so I imagine things will be pretty quiet for me on here til at least midweek.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Mr B, you have done extremely well shaving £38k off your debt, in 18 months, and i don't know how you've done it. You have to have a serious income in the first place? You can't do it all by ebay? In which case that would be income?
Losing £1k a month in income, is more than some singletons get in their monthly pay packet?
Kinda puts a different perspective on it for some people?
Anyway, you've either got it to spend or you haven't, and a treat every once in a while, well?
Keep up with the running and good luck in your new job.Fred - Where's your get up and go?
Barney - It just got up and went.

Hi Mr B
I have followed your thread for a while but I'm just delurking today to say two things:
1. You deserve a chilled afternoon with your family after all you have had to deal with over recent months - don't beat yourself up about it. I bet it was a lovely time together and will set you up for the week ahead!
2. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR FIRST DAY!!!!! We will all be thinking of you - cheering you on!! :T:T:T:T:T

Mr B you are allowed to celebrate the Seagulls beating Newcastle in the FA Cup. After all, it doesn't happen every year......what's that......... oh........... ok then, every year you are allowed one afternoon to celebrate Seagulls beating Newcastle in the FA Cup
.
Did you have a good afternoon and evening? Was it good family time? Are you going to make a habit of it (except as above)? As long as the answers are yes, yes and no then stop beating yourself up
.
Good luck tomorrow and sock it to them :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I'm afraid I agree MrB, that was good use of that money after your houseguest left. If you achieved it for less than £20 and had some really good time together, maybe when you get your next £20 note, before you get used to having it, stick it somewhere safe to be used for an emergency family blowout? And then again replenish it afterwards? :money:
Just a quick thought - if you are a numbers person, have you thought about signing up on Strava (I am now worrying I've mentioned it before, in which case forgive me)?
Not sure what sort of phone you have but have a look into it, I think you can keep your profile private if you want to but it logs all your miles, awards you a cheerful little cup if you beat a previous time for various distances and generally chivvies you onOr it does me anyway :rotfl:
Happy new year and I wish you all the very best with your corporate/slick/last resort look for tomorrow morning. Oh and the new job of course :T0
