Morning all. The Bitter was a temporary lapse of judgement, I didn't finish the whole glass of it as it grew to progressively resemble sewage in both looks and taste. Talking of sewage and general MSE-ness, tonight I have to Vax a carpet to within an inch of its life and then sort out the leaky bathroom sink. Plus I have a ton of cardboard at work that I have to bring back for the latest round of eBay sales, although I'm a bit worried that having been listed for 5 days already (they are due to end on Sunday evening) I have zero bids on any of the 20 records. There are a smattering of watchers but I am trying to convince myself everyone is just waiting til 7pm Sunday to do it.

Hmmm. I wonder if you need to drip them into the market?

Sorry, I couldn't resist, what with the soggy bathroom and all :D

Reacquainting myself with Stella tonight cos it's been a crazy week - here's hoping the tracks of moneysaving and weightloss can be got back on next week. Kinda losing the momentum with this forum as well, hopefully it's just a temporary blip but as I'm starting to play by the rules everywhere, nothing noteworthy seems to be happening. Guess this is what being normal is all about. Yawn.

this is just the post first dash blues. you have your lbm go full steam ahead, making all the easy savings and then you realise that you have to keep doing this FOR A WHILE to actually get to the end of the debt. Just the same with losing weight. Don't give in this is just a plateau. But as soon as you start paying more off the debt it will start to snowball again, as you can start reallocating money that was paying a debt to another one

  • Oh dear Mr B! You worried me there when you said you were having chest pains! I'm glad to hear it was only muscular, perhaps you've been overexerting yourself a bit? Loving the new signature too and well done with all the moneysaving :)

it's about keeping my big trap shut at work, keeping my head down, keeping up with things, keeping those that need to be pleased happy and most importantly keeping my job. Because there is no Plan B.

MrB it took me a long time to learn this lesson and I mean years. I like to call it passion and principles :D but I had to learn to choose my battles. I never lost a job because of it but eventually learned that pi55ing off the powers that be did me no favours and that I could actually give myself an easier time just getting on with the job in hand. Its enough that I know that they are amateur without me needing to remind them :rotfl:
