Where on the site does it tell you you have 'Unlimited Data - Free Booster (Well what T-Mobile class as Unlimited)'?

I'm pretty sure I have it (and at 1.8mbps) but I can't see it acknowledged on the site. I'm in two minds about renewing now because some people have kept the speed and others haven't.

    I take it it's the:

    Capped Data Rate
    Recurring cost Free

It used to say Web+Walk(18), but changed last year; I guess when they dropped everything down to 500mb (but they say they don't charge for going over).
  • But I thought they didn't drop current customers policies did they?

Chorlie, where does it actually say on your site 'Unlimited Data - Free Booster'?

No, I queried this with them a while back - this simply means that web browsing is capped at a charge of £1 a day. It is added even if you have web n walk etc (like we do).

You need to look at the "my bills" section and then "plan summary" for the info we're looking for: (obviously the prices listed are before VAT, and where the "Internet Included" is stated that's what used to be Web n Walk 18+

    Your monthly plan charges
    600Min&500Text(SIM12)15 £12.77
    Unltd Text Booster (FB) Free
    Internet Included Free
Loyalty discount from your monthly line rental - £6.39
    Monthly charge total £6.38

I will be pleased to stay with them if they definitely renew my contract with the exact same terms, ie, 3GB "limit" but especially the 1.8Mbps speed. I will expect them to confirm this to me in writing as well (as I have banged on about many times).

If they shove me down to 0.3Mbps I will be shouting about it to any and all who will listen, esp the consumer watchdog. Believe me, I have built a nice dossier of evidence regarding their lying ways! :D
  • When are you making that call? I'd be interested to know how it goes. I'm concerned that they will agree to the same terms but then renege on them and deny that they have ie they might say 'oh, your speed is just 0.3mbps because you have bad signal in that area'.

Well I'm pretty sure my contract is up around the middle of November, so be a couple of weeks yet.
  • I've just renewed with them under the same terms. I asked if he could send a letter confirming the 3gb limit and 1.8mbps speed and he said it would be confirmed in the contract I receive. If it's not I will cancel, as is my right within 7 days.

Excellent, be interesting to hear if all goes to plan!

What did you say to them/what number did you phone? Was it another 12 months at half price?
  • I pressed the numbers to go through to the 'leaving t-mobile' department. I said I wanted to leave if they couldn't continue the current offer and he said he could. I got him to confirm several times that it would keep the 1.8mbps and 3gb. He said it would because all he was doing was renewing my current deal so nothing would change. Ofcourse, this is what other people were told and it changed so we will see.

Can anyone who still has their contract have a look to see if it states the speed limit and cap (cap will probably be under Fair Usage Policy) please? I need to know that when my contract arrives on Tuesday I will be able to check these figures.

Hmm, I don't recall ever having had a contract, in writing that is, from T-Mobile and I've been with them for the last 3 years or so.

The proof will be in the pudding of course, and a decrease to the 0.3Mbps would be a big no-no in my view so I would be certainly using the get out clause of the 7 days.

I hope you get the contract and your speed stays the same, it would make my life so much easier when it comes to my own renewal :D
  • So they've posted the paperwork but it doesn't mention anything about the specifics of my internet.

I started the new contract 5 days ago though and my internet is still 1.8mbps. Can I assume that I've kept the old terms then i.e. if they were going to drop it they would have done by now?
